Jewel's P.O.V
At School

Today I was scared to go to school, because people would ask me a ton of questions to why I ran away from school yesterday.

But luckily no one asked me about that yet. I think that they knew that it would've been an awkward topic to talk about.

"Jewel," said Joshua.

I turned to him, "Yeah?"

"You okay? You're spacing out again," asked Joshua.

I nodded, "Yeah I'm fine."

"Oh okay," he smiled. "That's good."

《Morning Recess》

"Hey," said Macxim.

"Hi," I said.

"About yesterday- " I cut him off.

"Don't worry about it," I said with an emotionless face.

"Oh," said Macxim. "Okay."

Then I saw Macxim's girl childhood friend walk towards us.

She smiled at me, "I forgot to introduce myself to you. Hi, I'm Julie."

I faked a smile, "Hello Julie, my name is Jewel."

"She's my girlfriend," said Macxim and I blushed.

Julie looked at Macxim and pouted, "You said that I was going to be your only girlfriend and that I was the one you were going to marry."

The moment I heard that come out of Julie's mouth, I felt my heart breaking apart again and I had a little trouble breathing.

"That was a long time ago! Plus I was a little kid," said Macxim.

"Then why did you give me this ring then?" said Julie, while showing her ring finger to Macxim.

"That," Macxim said then closed his mouth.

Come on, finish your sentence. I want to know what you will say about that sliver ring you gave Julie that has "Love" written at the front.

"I have to go," I said before running towards a door and going inside.

Then I went to the private bathroom for girls and cried my heart out.

"I.. I just want to.. Get away from this... City for awhile... And not see him again," I cried in between words. "Macxim, you always said that you were going to be by my side. But where were you yesterday? Where are you right now?"

Ugh, I want to go to Paris or something. Just anywhere but here. I can't handle this pain anymore, it's just to painful.

"Jewel," I heard Joshua's voice on the other side of the bathroom door. "Please come out."

Why is that whenever I'm sad like this, Joshua is always the first person to comfort me.

"NO!" I yelled furiously.

"Jewel, come on please," Joshua begged.

"NO!" I yelled again.

"If you come out, we can walk home together if you don't want to be here anymore," said Joshua.

I thought for a moment, "O-Okay."

"Just wait, I'll go tell the teacher and get your things," said Joshua.

"Thank you."

"No problem. Now I'll be back, just wait."
