Dear mom and dad,
I'm in 5th grade now.
I have a crush on this boy.
He's beautiful, he's got these eyes and smile that makes your heart just flutter.
I wrote a love poem to him and stuffed it under my desk, ready to give to him later at the end of the day.
Ashley and her gang found the paper. They read it out loud to the entire class and they all laughed at me, even him.
Ashley told him I was pathetic and desperate.
He agreed with her, saying how I always stare at him and it makes him feel uncomfortable how such an ugly girl like me could get a guy like him.
I cried.
If you were there, you would've stood up for me.
I miss you so much. Come back, please.
From your daughter who loves you so much and misses you,
Everly Johnson
