Niall walked out of his room wearing a pair of jean shorts and Liam's shirt, which made him look like he wasn't wearing anything under the shirt since Liam's shirts were quite long on him. It was still summer and between the heat and the flats central air, Niall found this to be the most comfortable outfit for lounging around the place.
He walked out to see Liam asleep on the sofa. With a roll of his eyes he walked over to the brunette and climbed over him, straddling his waist. "Wake up, sleepy head. We've got some homework to do." He said.
Liam groaned and opened one eye, staring at Niall for a moment before opening the others. He stretched. "But babe, I was just getting to the good part of my dream." He whined.
Niall just shook his head and climbed off of Liam. "You'll have more time to dream later." The small boy giggled. "Are you hungry? I can make us something to eat before we get to work."
Liam sat up and wrapped an arm around Niall. "Yes, I'm starving. I'll go get our book bags from the bedroom." He replied, kissing Niall's cheek before getting up and heading down the hall.
Niall head in to the kitchen and decided to make them both some grilled cheese sandwiches. He got out a pan and set that on the counter before heading to the fridge to get the cheese and butter out. He warmed up the pan and let the heat up as he sliced the cheese.
Liam walked out to the living room with both bags and set them by the coffee table in front of the sofa. That was where they usually did any work when they were together.
Niall came in a few minutes later with two plates and set them on the coffee table. "What do you want to drink?" He asked Liam.
"I'll take a soda, any kind." He answered, getting out his school work. Niall nodded and walked back in to the kitchen, grabbing two sodas and coming back to the living room. He sat down next to Liam and handed him his soda.
"Okay so we may have homework for four classes but they aren't hard or anything. Actually I think most are like profiles or about me kind of things." The lilac boy said.
Liam rolled his eyes. "I don't want them to know about me." He grumbled. Niall just laughed at that.
"Stop being so grumpy." He leaned over and kissed Liam's nose, getting the faintest blush as a reaction. Niall grinned before taking out his binder from his bag.
"Oh I forgot, I got you something." Liam said. He reached in to his bag and pulled out a hard cover coloring book. "My art teacher was actually selling these. She drew it herself. I bought you one because I know how much you love coloring."
Niall took the book, seeing it was a flower coloring book for adults. He smiled again. "Thank you, Li." He leaned over again and kissed Liam's cheek this time. "I needed a new one, but other one is nearly full."
"I had a feeling you would like it." Liam smiled.
"You're the best." The small boy commented.
Liam leaned over and kissed Niall's lips. "I try to be for you."
Niall smiled but blinked when he heard his cell phone ringing. He picked it up and saw that it was his mom calling. "Oh it's mum." He answered it then put the phone on speaker. "Hello mum! Liam's here too, you're on speaker."
"Oh hello, Niall, hello Liam." Maura greeted.
"Hey Maura." Liam replied.
"What's up, mum?" Niall asked.
"Just wanted to know how school went for you two." Maura answered.
"It was good. Liam and I have four of the same classes and our lunch together. And our lockers are pretty close. I met his best friend today. He was very nice." Niall stated. Liam smiled at that. "And it was you know, just normal for a first day." The Irish boy decided to leave out his run in with the jock. His mom didn't need to know that.
