It was a moonlit night in Minecraftia. Not a single sould could be heard, except for the quiet rustles of a bedsheet as a single human tossed and turned in their sleep. However, there were no growls. There was no hissing. All the mobs had completely disappeared.
In a tiny square room under the human's house, a meeting was taking place. A creeper stood in the centre of all the commotion, trying to quieten everyone down. "Quiet!" he yelled, but no-one took any notice. He sighed. "Ssssssss..."
That shut them up. "All right," the creeper said. "Let's get to business. Cows, are you here?"
A nonchalant mooing came from the back of the room.
"I'll take that as a yes," the creeper said. "Now, zombies, how much iron did you get from that mining expedition Dave sent you on?"
Three zombies held up a bucket each. "Great," the creeper smiled. "You know what to do."
After some more disgruntled mooing, the zombies returned, buckets now full of milk. "Now, endermen, got the sugar cane?" the creeper called. Two endermen appeared, each holding a block of sand with sugar cane on the top. "Bats, this is your job!"
Two bats swooped down and skilfully cut the sugar cane. In an instant they had turned it into two handfuls of sugar. "Now, slimes, how much wheat did you get?"
Having jumped all over the human's new farm, the slimes now had some wheat and more than enough seeds. "We'll have to return those," the creeper laughed, looking at all the seeds. "But thanks for the wheat. Now all we need is that chicken."
The whole crowd stared at a chicken hiding in the corner. Embarrassed, the chicken laid an egg. "Perfect," the creeper grinned.
Suddenly a minecart came crashing into the room, ridden by a very confused-looking pig. "Late again," the creeper scorned. "At least you brought the cart. All right, everyone, put all the ingredients in the cart!"
One by one, the mobs threw in their items in the cart. Three buckets of milk, three bunches of wheat, two heaps of sugar and one brown egg all were added into the cart. The skeleton walked up to the mixture and started stirring it with a bone. Finally the mixture was done.
In the outside world, the sun was rising. A sleeping human yawned, and stretched as they got up. Dee had had a good night's rest, and was ready to go on a new adventure. Shouldering their pick, they opened the door. And gasped.
In front of them was a huge array of mobs. Endermen, bats, zombies... they were all there. At the very front of the group was a creeper. Dee looked down and saw a cake, with letters written on the top in slightly wobbly writing.
Happy birthday Dee! From all the mobs in Minecraftia, the message read. Dee looked at all the mobs, and felt a tear welling up in their eye. "Thank you so much!" Dee gushed, rushing forward to hug the creeper. The only reply they got was a sssssssss...
