Prompt 079, PREGNANCY: "The baby's kicks are keeping me up at night."
Your cries stopped once you heard the door down stairs open. Slowly, you erased the tears on your cheeks with your hands. His footsteps became louder and you tried your best not to burst out in tears. When Stiles came through the door you had to squeeze your eyes shut to hold the tears back.
"Y/N, why are you awake?" Stiles asked, oblivious to your state.
"The baby's kicks are keeping me up at night." you sobbed out, and at this, he ran towards you.
"Is that normal, are you ok? Is he ok? You're crying! Should we go to the hospi-" his ramble was cut off by an other sob.
"Stiles,"
"Yes, baby?"
"How am I supposed to raise our son up in a town where I'm always scared something bad's gonna happen?" You asked, and before Stiles could reply, you continued.
"I worry about you when we're not together. I'm scared something bad's going to happen at any minute because nothing has happened in a long time. I'm scared you'll leave me, I-" it was Stiles's time to interrupt, and he did it by giving you a soft, passionate kiss.
"Listen, I'm never, going to leave you, ok? Even if you want me to. I'll never ever leave you. Ever," his voice croaked at the end, and he gave you a hug.
"We're going to be alright, and I'm always going to protect you two, ok?" His forehead rested on yours and your eyes were staring deeply into his. The crying had stopped, and you nodded softly at him.
The night had ended with cuddles. You were no longer afraid of the future. Your worries had flown away once Stiles embraced you. He was right. He would always protect you. He was your knight in shining armour, and he scared your worries and all kinds of demons away.
