Rei's POV
Kei and I were sitting on the curb outside of a school called 'Rikkaidai'. We heard a bell in the distance. I pulled Kei's striped pink and purple hoodie over her head and she pulled my striped yellow and orange hoodie over mine. A bunch of students walked out and as they passed us, gave us glares and some even kicked or threw rocks at us. The rest just simply ignored us.
We didn't say anything but stand up, hook our arms with one another, and walk into the gate of Rikkaidai and head to the courts.
We were used to reciving the silent treatment or being bullied. It went on ever since we first came here. We sat on that curb until the other students left and when they did, we would go into the school and watch the tennis club practice.
We stood at top of the hill that surrounded the four courts for tennis. We always watched from above simply because the wolves were on the flat, ground floor. We were the sheep. Simple as that.
When the last bell rang, the remaining people from the club packed up and started to leave. I quickly grabbed Kei's hand and we left before anyone saw us. She put her arm around my waist and I put my own arm around her shoulders, pulling her close.
We walked slowly, the faint wind tugging at our bangs that were visible from our hoods.
We heard footsteps and continued on. But then the footsteps quickened and they appeared in front of us.
A boy with black hair and green-ish black eyes glared at us and pointed.
"Which one of you plays tennis?!"
I tilted my head to the left and Kei towards the right. We spoke in usioun.
"Why do ya wanna know?"
He looked a bit startled, but quickly regained his composture.
"W-Well...you two are always out there and when it's time for practice you always come and watch! So, I challenge you in a tennis match!"
Kei leaned her head on my shoulder and I put my head on hers. We both glared at him as the sun behind him slowly went down.
"Is it a problem for us to watch?"
He still had the angry look on his face.
The sun was a bit more than halfway down now. I spoke with a demonic sound in my voice.
"We may be some damned sheep,"
Kei finished for me, though her voice was more calm than my own.
"But we've been in the forest of damned wolves since we were born."
The sun disappeared behind the hill and the moon appeared in the sky. Our eyes glowed demonically.
"So who's to tell us what to do when you're all our killers?"
My glowing yellow eyes and Kei's bright blue ones surely scared the kid by now.
I pushed Kei forward, pushing the urge to kill this boy away.
"Kei, how 'bout you take his challenge? Worst comes to worst; I lose it."
She smirked.
"You're right Rei." She turned to the frozen guy. "I'll take you up on your challenge. But if I lose, Rei here will turn into the eagle that hunts down wolves."
