I squealed with delight as I hugged my bestie. I could tell she was excited too.

"How've you been A?"

"I've been great! And do yah know what day it is?"

"Yah! It's yo-"

Kara was interrupted by the lady at the front desk.

"Shouldn't you girls be in class?"

"We were just ready to go!" Kara said.

    "Alright. Go along now."

"Yes ma'm."

We walked to our English class, which was taught by our favorite teacher, Ms. Bevan. Everyone in 9th grade would definitely say she was our favorite teacher. She was funny, kind, and amazing.

"Hello guys! Today, we will be learning how to correctly indent paragraphs, because apparently some people in this class don't know how. But first, write a quick paragraph from the prompt on the board."

I read the board, which said "Should animals be allowed in the school building at anytime for anyone? Why or why not?"

I quickly wrote down my answer, where I said they should only be allowed for people that absolutely need them. Kara sat right next to me, so we shared our answers together. Not so surprisingly, our answers were almost the same. We laughed softly, and then payed our attention to Ms. Bevan.

(Later on....)

I sat at my regular table, with Kara right next to me. We talked about stuff that happened while we were away from each other, when we noticed someone walk in the cafeteria. It was a boy, with spiked blonde hair and green eyes, and he was wearing all black clothes, and had nose and lip piercings. I stared at him for who knows how long, when Kara got me back into reality.

"Who are you staring at A?"

"I don't know. He seems new. But for some reason he looks familiar."

"Hmph.Suddenly, the new boy sat down across from me.

" Hey. I'm Jake...nice to meet ya." He smiled kindly as he asked our names.

"I'm Ana, and this is Kara, my best friend."

"Nice names."

"Thank you! Now, what brings you here to Palmer High School?"

"Oh, well, I just recently moved here to Oregon from Tennessee. I'm quite excited to be here."

"That's cool. You will love it here, its just plain amazing!"

"Awesome. So Ana...I need to talk to you in pri-"

The bellrang, so we all got up to go, and of course, we said our goodbye's to Jake, then went off.
