Hi, my name is Ari Janes and I'm 17 years old. I live in Indiana as of right now. I'm about to be a senior in high school, but I'm moving to California soon for my dad's new job transfer. I'm honestly really nervous because I'm moving as a senior, which will probably be really hard to do since it is so late in my high school years. But the good thing is, it's California. Which means great weather, more opportunities, and the chance to apply for the college I have always wanted to go to.
I have a little sister, her name is Elise and she's 14. She's obsessed with this little group of guys called MagCon. She talks about them all the time and she always mentions how this guy named Taylor is her favorite. Besides my sister, I have an older brother and his name is Grayson. He's 20, and goes to college in Texas. I also have my mom and dad, they both are in their late thirties.

Besides my family, I'm really just an average girl. I'm a cheerleader, I'm obsessed with makeup. I'm like every other normal girl, I complain about school, watch Netflix basically 24/7, and eat way too much junk food. YouTube is also a hobby too. I just sit around and watch makeup tutorials and music videos of jack and jack on the days I don't have cheer practice.

I have friends here and there, but I have a best friend and her name is Kayleigh. Her and I have been best friends since literally the fourth grade. I tell her everything. She knows so many things about me, she may know me better then I know my own self. She's taking me moving really hard. I'm going to really miss her once I leave, but at least she'll be able to fly out to Cali every once and a while to see me.

I've been packing for hours, on and off.

"Ughhhh, this is sooo much work." I say to myself. "Why can't we just stay here." I add.

My mom then comes through my doorway with a big box of clothes. She sets them down on my bed and opens the top of the box.

"These were mine when I was your age!" she says excitedly, pulling out several shirts, and a few pairs of jeans.

I looked through the pile of clothes, and looked up at my mom with a sarcastic smile.

"Awh, these are cute mom!" I said, trying not to bust out laughing. They were so vintage, and honestly not cute what-so-ever. I just continued to smile and go through the clothes.

"Well here since you like them, you can keep them." my mom said. "Will you try on an outfit?" she added.

"I will here in a bit, I need to pack some more." I said lightly.

"Okay honey, just come down stairs here in a bit for breakfast. I'm going to make eggs and bacon." she said. "One of your favorites." she added.

"Okay momma." I said.

She leaned in, and wrapped her gentle arms around me. She then leaned back and said, "I'm glad you are taking this move well, I know how nervous you are to transfer to a completely new school."

I just gave her a smile, and she turned around and left my room, leaving the box of clothes on my bed.
