Chapter 3

I pulled up to the mall entrance, and parked my car. I grabbed my phone and called Kayleigh. It rang a few times, then she answered;
Me: Hey girl, are you here? I'm at the south doors entrance!

Kayleigh: Yeah I'm here, I'll meet you over there in a minute.

I hung up the phone and got out of my car. I heard Kayleigh's car from miles away, literally. Her car is an old '96 Ford Truck. I have no idea why she's so obsessed with that car, but she is. Her parents have offered many times to get her a new car but she always refuses, no joke!

Kayleigh whipped the truck into a parking spot, and got out. She met me at the doors and we went inside.

"Oh my god Ari! Love Culture is having a huge sale! We have to go." She said, basically yelling.
"Holy shit, let's go!!" I said, running towards the doors to the store with Kayleigh latched to my arm.

About 2 hours have passed and we went in and out through many stores. Combined we probably spent about $300. (Lmao) We headed to the mall's food court and decided to grab some Hagen Däzs ice cream.

We got up to the counter and ordered:

"I'll take a midnight cookies and cream sundae please." I said.
"And, I'll have a banana split sundae!" Kayleigh said.
"Alright that will be $7.25" said the woman. I handed her a 10, and she gave me change back.

Kayleigh and I ate our ice cream and headed to the mall's doors. It was about 4:15 now and I needed to be at work by 5.

Me and Kayleigh said our goodbyes and of course I told her I would come over after work. So, I walked out to my car, got in and drove off, back to my house to put on my clothes for work. I work at a local diner, called the "Quick n' Serve" about 10 minutes from my house. I need to put in my notice today about quitting, since I leave for California in a few days.

I pulled up to the house, parked and got out. I opened the front door and stepped in. Elise was sitting on the couch watching a new episode of Pretty Little Liars. She's obsessed with it. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a Pepsi from the fridge and headed up to my room. I set down my drink and went to my closet to get my outfit out for work. I pulled my black scrub top and matching black pants from a hanger. So simple, and I hate the material honestly. I grabbed my Nike Freeruns that are grey and white. I changed and grabbed my drink and threw my crossover purse back on over my shoulder. I went into the bathroom to fix my hair into a messy bun, and fix my makeup a little bit.

I then headed out and shut my door to my room. I went over to my parent's room and opened the door after knocking, and told my mom i was headed to work. My dad we still at work and doesn't get off until about 7 tonight. She nodded and gave a slight smile.

"I'll see you when you get home sis." She said.

I shut her bedroom door and went down the stairs.

"Hey can you throw me a bag of Doritos from the kitchen?" Elise asked once I reached the bottom of the stairs.

I went into the kitchen and grabbed a bag and tossed it to her through the door way.

"I'm going to work so I'll see you once I get home around 10."

She nodded and I walked out of the house.
