I just started at his hand. I didn't grab it and give it a shake. I didn't push it away. I just stared at it for a moment before turning away from him. I don't want to deal with him now. Or ever. I like ever.
"Hey, my friends and I made a bet that I couldn't talk to the prettiest girl in this room. Do you want to go on a date with their money?" He asked, his accent thick.
To be honest the man wasn't unattractive. The whole reason he was a cocky asshole was because he was attractive and he knew it. His body was that of a swimmer's and had a sun kissed tan on him. His eyes were indeed very blue and his black hair a stunning shade of blue. From his accent and looks I would guess his parents are from Brazil.
It was these looks that made him the piece of trash that he is. He treats everyone like they are under him and that he is king. I don't like him. I won't like him. I won't be a little puppet in his game.
"Nope, but I should get a cut of that money. I mean it was my face that helped you get it." I wouldn't look at him just up at the whiteboard ahead. Show him that I don't care. I don't care. I don't.
"I have a question for you." Ace sat in the seat next to me when I refused to shake his hand. He wasn't going to leave me alone. Why, of all the people, did he have to pick me?
"I don't want to hear it." The math teacher, who everyone swore was part deaf, didn't notice our little chat. Just went on about the homework we had last class.
"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" I wanted to laugh. I felt the need to turn towards him to answer the question.
"No. Did you scrap your knee climbing straight out of Hell?" I smirked when Ace's eyes went wide from my response. I bet all my money that no one has given him this reaction before. It didn't take long for him to recover.
"It did hurt a little bit. Will you kiss it better?"
"No."
"Well then maybe you can help me with my other problem. You see, I memorized every number in the phone book but have seemed to forgotten your. I'm going to need that." He looked like a natural when spewing out those cheesy lines. They just rolled off his tongue as if he's used them hundreds of times, and probably has too.
"Ha, in your dreams." I lean over and pat his head, which obviously shocked him. My teacher who was almost deaf still had eyes to see and happened to be staring right at us.
"Stop talking you two," he spat then went on with the lesson. Thankfully Ace actually stopped talking to me and payed attention to the class. I finally get some peace and quiet.
After I filled the rest of the class with listening to the teacher and doodling in my sketchbook the bell rang. I packed up my things and was just about to leave when someone came up beside me. "Hey, you know what? You look a lot like my future wife," Ace said with a grin.
"Really? Hey, you know what else? You look a lot like a guy who wants to be unable to reproduce."
"Whoa whoa calm down. That is a little too far. Don't put them on the line." Ace leans down slightly and whispers in my ear, "I don't mean to impress you or anything but, I'm Batman."
I wanted to laugh, hard. "I don't mean to burst your bubble or anything but I'm Harley Quinn."
"Can I be the Joker?"
"Nope. You already picked Bats." With that said I walked away. God he was just so, attractive. He doesn't even deserve to be that attractive. He is proof that looks are only skin deep.
Kirsty was waiting by my next class, which we had together, and once she laid eyes on me she bolted to meet me. Her wave of blonde curls flying onto my face as she wraps her arms around me.
"Hey, hey!"
"Hey, shall we go to our next class?" I ask while looping arms with Kirsty. It was hard to explain our friendship. We couldn't really understand ourselves. She was someone, who after weeks of bugging me, got me to break through my shell and be myself around her. It was like we were made to be. Two peas in pod. Yin and yang. All that cheesy shiz.
"Guess, what? Ace hit on me," I tell her as we entered our class.
"Ew! I bet he has like hardcore STDs. You're probably just for his game. Is that rude?" She was really the only one who gets me.
"No it's not. I was thinking the same thing." We wandered to the back of the room where we sat.
"But, I'd eat him."
"No! Kirsty just... gross." I shoved her away with a laugh. It was when I dropped my bag into the back seat that I saw Ace wander into the classroom. He didn't even have this class. "Save me," I whispered to Kirsty.
"Oh, I totally have to talk to the teacher now." She giggled and ran out of the room. Some friends I have. Really just the sweetest of people.
"Olá Beleza no seu melhor," he says when he got to me.
"What are you doing here and what are you even saying?"
"Our classes are right by each other so I thought I would stop and say hi. It means, Hello Beauty at it's best." I started to feel my heart pick up but I won't let it. This is a game to him. A game.
"Greeat." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"Oh just peachy."
"Ouch." Ace put his hand up to his mouth. "I bit my lip. Will you kiss it better?"
"Not even in your dreams." I laugh while placing my hands on his shoulders and turning him around. I give him a push toward the door. "Leave."
"Fine. Goodbye lovely." Ace left the room and I flopped down on my desk. The bell rang and Kristy took a seat next to me.
"So how did it go?"
"All he did is use pickup lines. Let's not talk about it." I shrugged as if nothing had happening. Nothing did happen besides the fact that he called me beautiful and I felt touched by it. I am disgusted with myself.
"Oh by the way, I made a new friend today. We're going to sit with her at lunch."
"Wait you're going to make me socialize?" I asked with fake shock.
"You'll like her. She was new and it didn't seem like she was going to make friends so I came friends with her. Her name is Cat. She's cool."
"Okay fine. I'll give this Cat chick a shot. For you." I smiled at Kristy.
"Thanks, Court. Means a lot." Kristy smiled back and then we had to shut up and listening to the drone of this class for the next hour and a half.
