Lauren groaned after she released yet another sneeze. Being sick absolutely sucked ass.
It was the last week of September and she was sick. Victor left a week ago and here she was now lying in bed hating the world. Her nose was stuffy, her throat ached, and her head was slightly aching. Everything in the world was horrible. She was thankful for Aria for making bringing her some soup, but she sadly couldn't stay since she had a flight to catch.
Here she was now, day three of her sickness feeling absolutely terrible. Blake and DeAndre have been texting her, but she hasn't really replied to them. She replied to let them know she's alive, but told them not to come anywhere near the apartment since their season was starting next week, the last thing she needed was for them to catch whatever she had.
"This is the only time I wish I was still dating Alex, at least I have someone to take care of me." Lauren turned the television on, hoping there was something good on. It was eleven in the morning so that was a lot to ask for, but she still hoped. Netflix could always be an option.
As she was getting comfortable, her doorbell rang. She groaned out and figured if she ignored it, whoever was at the door will go away. But the doorbell never stopped ringing and it was starting to irritate her. She turned up the volume, hoping that would compensate with the continuous ringing.
Her phone vibrated. She picked it up and she received a text message from Blake. Swiping to the right, she unlocked her phone.
Gryffindor
Open the damn door or I'll talk to your building manager, she's literally in love with me.
"I fucking hate Alex for introducing me to Blake Griffin, he's no longer my favorite player." Lauren muttered to herself. She got her small blanket and wrapped it around her, covering her upper body and a part of her head like a hood. Walking over to the door the ringing finally stopped; maybe he went away. She looked through the peephole and Blake was on his phone.
She opened the door and Blake smirked, holding up a reusable bag full of groceries.
"Heard my Lauren was sick so I'm here to take care of you." Blake walked past her before Lauren could even reply.
"Yep, definitely going to kill Alex." She mumbled before closing the door. Following Blake into her apartment, she found him in the kitchen unpacking the bags. "Blake, you shouldn't even be here. You're pre-season starts next week, please leave."
"Nope," Blake replied as he placed some groceries in the fridge and the pantry. "By the way, dick move for barely answering me and DJ, he'll be over later to give you a good lecturing, young lady."
"Wow, this is my life," Lauren turned away and walked inside her bedroom, slipping under the covers. Maybe if she slept, Blake would just go away.
Not a moment later, her bed dipped and Blake was under her covers with her, except he was sitting up with the remote control in hand.
"Leave me alone," Lauren weakly told him.
"Nope, just accept it, I'm here and I'm going to take care of you." Blake replied. "Go to sleep, I'm waiting for DJ so we can make you some food."
