Chapter 6~Gracie~

I'm still sitting in the floor of the big new cell, there is a bigger bed in one corner, with real bedding. At the end of the bed there is a chest. I walk over to the chest. When I get over to it I open it, I guess I was hoping for something that would give me a hint on what this place is. All I see when I open it is a book and a new outfit, I guess the new outfit is good, at least I can get out of this awful pantsuit. There is also a pen and notebook, I guess to write in.

I rummage through the chest, just a couple clothes and books. Something finally catches my eye, I grab it and pull it out, it's a necklace. To be precise it's a locket.

I hear knocking on the door. I quickly put everything back into the chest and hop into the bed, yes I mean twin size bed, it's at least better than the uncomfortable cot I had in my last room. As soon as I pretend to sleep the door opens. The nice commander lady walks in and over to me,
"Sweetheart it's time to wake up, I think you should come with me," she whispers to me. I pop open my eyes.
"Where?" I ask in a quiet voice. Hopefully she will take me away from this place, I just want to go home.
"To someone I know you want to visit. To see your brother."
"You knew my brother?" I question.
"Of course! He was my fiancé. We were going to marry the next day, until he died..." She explained.
"H-Hh-he w-was your fiancé?!" I exclaim.
