As the Trandoshan guards all left to deal with some malfunctioning probe droids, Sabine and Hera's cage was left unguarded for the first time. Sabine took the chance to get her first good look at the place they were being held.

The Trandoshans had taken them onboard a large customized ship after their initial capture. When Sabine had arrived, Hera had already been in the cage.

Monitors had been set up on the nearby walls, which were supposed to display all of the feedback sent by the probe droids.

"How are you holding up?" Hera asked.

"Fine for the moment," Sabine replied. "What do you think our chances are of busting out of here?"

"None at the moment," Hera said flatly. "This is a test. I've seen slave traders try to pull it before. They want to see what we'll do if they leave us unguarded. In reality, there are a handful of Trandoshans waiting just outside the door."

"How do you know so much about slave traders?" Sabine asked, leaning against the bars of the cage.

"Well, the Empire has never hidden its views on racism and slavery," Hera began. "The most popular slaves are female Twi'lek. It's gotten so bad that some of our leaders have began selling off their daughters into slavery."

"Is that what happened to you?" Sabine asked. Hera's eyes flashed.

"My father didn't sell me into slavery," Hera said. "He didn't care about me much either way. I was just another Twi'lek in need on Ryloth. No, when I was just learning about the rebellion and had recently met Kanan, I was captured by a group of slavers."

"How did you escape?"

"Kanan rescued me."

"And now it's our turn to rescue him," Sabine said. Hera smiled and nodded.

Back in the command room of the ship, a red Trandoshan growled and slammed his fist on the table. The rest of the clan leaders were with him, watching Hera and Sabine through hidden cameras.

"The Twi'lek is a smart one," one of the clan leaders growled. "She knows more than she lets on."

"She has bonded with the Jedi," a different leader pointed out thoughtfully. "Perhaps her pain could make the Jedi suffer."

"Which is a wise use of her," Gekrish agreed. "The Jedi cares for his friends deeply. I wonder what would happen if he was forced to kill one of them."

The other clan leaders grinned, catching on to what he was suggesting.

"Fetch the Twisted Design," Gekrish instructed. One of the clan leaders bowed and walked away. "Let's pay the Jedi's friend a visit."
