I will update this story frequently.~

~Jess~

What? A robbery at my house? This day keeps getting worse and worse. Who would want to rob my house anyway? How did they even get in?

All of these questions were popping in my head as I quickly drove home.

Finally reaching my house, I pushed the car door open and raced inside.

As I walked into my house it didn't seem like a robbery took place. Before I could begin to ask questions, a tall brown muscular man came up to me.

"Ah, Ms. Burnett, glad you could make it in a timely manner."

"What happened? What did they steal? Did you catch the guy that did it?" All these questions came blurting out my mouth. I needed to know.

"As we searched the house we cant seem to find anything missing or broken." He said.

"What? Then why'd you call me saying that there was a robbery at my house?" I said in a tone of anger. Why would he basically give me a heart attack for no reason?

"I called you from the police car on my way to the scene. I wanted to make sure you weren't home when it happened. When we got to the scene we busted in to try and catch the person stealing but there was no one here. All we have seen so far was this note" He said as he was trying to calm me down.

"What note? Let me see" I said as I frantically searched around for the note.

"Here it is" He said as he took it out of his pocket

It read as followed:

Hey Jessabelle,

Only Casey called me that.

I've been trying to call you over and over again, but you wont pick up the phone ever since the last time we talked. I thought the only way to reach you is to leave it inside your house, you still keep the keys in the garden huh?

A simple letter in the mail wouldn't of worked?

I really want to see you face to face... How about dinner tonight so we can chat. Call me if you accept my offer to meet up. Sorry if this scared you a bit.

Casey

Youve got to be kidding me. I raced over here thinking someone stole all of my stuff and its only a f*cking note!?

"Um H-How did you know there was a robbery?" I asked in confusion as i was trying to believe all of this nonsense

"Your neighbor saw a man looking around your house and walking inside so she called the police." He said

"Look Roger, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, my ex just left a note with out me knowing. Nothing to worry about." I said in annoyance.

"Are you sure you don't want me to press charges for trespassing?"

"N-No its nothing. Thanks for your help anyway."

"Okay, call me if you need anything"

He shut the door. I breathed out a breath of stress. Too many thing happening at once. In the beginning when Casey first left I wanted him back so bad. But now? I just wish he'd stay the hell away from me and MY family. Everything is just going wrong today.

I decided to call Casey and let him get an ear full

*Ring Ring Ring Ring Rin-*

"Well hello Jessabelle, I see you got my note."

"Yes, and a call from the police! My elderly neighbor saw you peeping around my house looking for the key and saw you walk into my house. She called the police and the police called me. I had to leave work just to find a friggin note asking to go to dinner!" I said almost yelling at him. I didn't want to tell him that my boss told me to leave work early anyway.

"Wow, I guess I should have waited till you got home."

"How stupid could you possibly be? You could've sent a letter in the mail, messaged me on Facebook, many more options then trespassing into my home! I was almost to the point of pressing charges, but the police had to calm me down." I said as I was trying to make him feel bad.

"You wouldn't of pressed charges. I know you."

"YES I WOULD OF! You're lucky I didn't!"

"So how about that dinner? Have you thought about it yet?" He asked as he was clearly trying to change the subject.

To be honest, I did want to have dinner with him. I had a billion chajillion questions, but I knew he didn't have a single g*ddamn answer.

"Yes ill have dinner with you but it will have to be at my house and after 8 o'clock. I don't want you to meet Cierra and scare her."

"Understandable, See you at eight thirty then" he said

"See you then."

I hung up the phone. I cant believe I just set a date with my ex.

As I looked at the time it read one o'clock. And I have to pick up Cierra at day care at six.

What a day I will have.

~~~~ Five hours later~~~~~
"Hey baby, how was your day with Mrs. Reisman?"
"Good! I learned a new song today! Wanna hear it?" she said ecstatically.
"Oh yay" I said sarcastically
"i would love to, lets get you into the car first, I said.
After buckling her up nice and tight in her car seat she sang me her song. It had something to do with lady bugs. She sings me different songs everyday. I so proud of her. A couple months ago she served her last day of chemotherapy.
When she had leukemia, some days she would be happy and full of life. Other days, she was sad, tired and in pain. I'm glad its over. Its just another tough thing I had to deal with without Casey by my side.
~ That's all I got. Thanks for reading! Don't forget to vote and comment and share with your friends!!~
