^^ the main character's house, i know it's big but when u got ur own drug company, anything is possible.
**From the day I was born, I already didn't have a normal life. Most people would see a newborn baby as a new member to a family, but for mine, it was more like a new worker.
We weren't a regular family, but that wouldn't have been very obvious if anyone were to meet us. I remember not being able to celebrate Halloween with my brothers because of the fear my mother had that we would get kidnapped by one of their competitors. It's not everyday some drug dealer's kids go out late at night by themselves walking in the streets.
I also remember not being able to give personal information to anyone. I mean yeah telling a stranger your address and what school you go to is definitely something no one should do, but to have to lie about your parent's names and what they did for a living was something else.
Especially if it involved having to eliminate certain people once in a while.
I remember as if it were yesterday when our neighbors at the time got a box that was accidentally delivered to them instead of us. And instead of doing the right thing someone should do when they are given something that doesn't belong to them and give it back, they took it. I was outside walking our dog, Diego, when I saw Mrs.Jefferson pick up the package and quickly rush inside her house after spotting me.
Once I walked inside, I could hear my father arguing through the phone about a special delivery he hadn't received yet, which was 4 days late. At first, I thought nothing of it until he had said it was stamped with a big green mark on the top and shouldn't have been hard to miss.
Remembering the exact same box Mrs.Jefferson had taken, I quickly had told him what had happened earlier, only to have his eyes widened and quickly start calling my Uncle's name who had been living with us along with his two little boys.
I remember asking him what was inside the box and him simply replying the word, "Drugs", and grabbing a gun from his room.
You see, our neighbors were never exactly the kindest, they were always trying to be one step closer to being the 'Perfect Family', when reality their family just consisted in a wife, husband and their poodle named Lucy. This wasn't the first time they had taken one of our belongings, in fact it wasn't even the second nor
third, but more like the fourth. They were also close to finding out our secret, especially with all the creeping and nosiness they did. So at last, my father had just enough of their doings and decided it was time to 'take out' those who were close to exposing us. My father and uncle grabbed their guns, put on their masks and left, right after giving me a kiss on the forehead and telling me to lock the doors, "just in case."
That morning had just started and had just ended for a man and his wife.
A few days later, the cops showed up to our house asking if we knew anything about the murder of Mr. and Mrs.Jefferson. We did what we do best: we lied. Thankfully the cops didn't think anything of us since we had told them we weren't close with the couple and had pretty much never even spoken to them.
Eventually, they closed the case since they didn't have any clues to who might've committed the crime. I don't exactly know how my father and uncle did it, all I know is that they did and they did it without leaving any traces. The cops didn't even come a second time to question us.
After all, who gives a second glance to a perfect family?
But that was 6 years ago, and from then on we kept our heads low and our voices quiet. We couldn't have any suspicion on us. We also didn't get neighbors anytime soon, considering the fact a couple were murdered in that house. But again, that was 6 years ago, some people leave and some people move in.
**
I got this idea after watching "The Millers" lol not gonna lie (that movie was the greatest tho). but it won't be the same as the movie, the only similarities are the drug dealing-perfect looking family I promise.
