The Bear

Tiffany 

  It was Tiffany's 13th birthday. She had already had her party, and now, alone in her room, she was taking a closer look at some of her gifts. She came across the one from Harper, the creepy new kid in her school who she invited out of pity. She studied the bear, who seemed ..different from the other plush bears in her room. She couldn't figure out what was so different,so mysterious about it. The rest of the night she sat on her bed, just staring at the bear. Finally, she fell asleep.

  Tiffany awoke the next morning to find the bear on the floor. She thought to herself,"Ugh,Harper. I try to be nice and you give me this ugly thing!" She reached down , picked-up the bear and threw it into the closet. She got ready for school. Her mother talked off her ear on the way.

  Harper was in Tiffany's homeroom. She walked up to Harper, and confronted her about the bear. "Wow, Harper, where'd you get that bear? It looks like something from 'the Nightmare Before Christmas.' Harper, clearly discouraged, slowly walked away. 

  When tiffany got home, she could tell something was wrong. Usually her mom had dinner cooking by now, yet she didnt smell the sweet aroma of food coming from her kitchen.She grabbed a bag of potato chips from the food closet and went to her room. There she found the bear, sitting on the bed. She assumed her mother put it there.She went into the livingroom, and screamed. There, she saw the clearly massacred bodies of her parents. She picked up the phone and dialed 911. Then she went into her room to wait for the police. She looked at the bear. Did he always have that eerie smile. She turned around and put on her tv. When she turned to face the bed, she saw.. Harper? 

  "How, why???" Harper raised her fingers to her lips. "Shhhhhh, dont turn around." From behind her she heard heavy breathing. She turned. The last thing she saw were the razor-sharp teeth of the bear.

  Harper smiled at the bear. "Good job!" In a low voice the bear said " I'm still hungry."
