Finding Love

Chapter 9

Jayda POV

I wake up to Tay running around the house with no clothes on. She had her bear in her hand and a wand in the other. I took a second to wonder where she got the wand from, but then realized it probably didn't matter considering she was running around the cold house naked.

I got up and hid behind the door so she couldn't see me. Just as she was rounding the corner I jumped out and picked her up by the waist throwing her over my shoulder. I slapped her bum lightly making her giggle, I loved her laugh. "Mama put me down!" She screamed. I walked into our room throwing her on the bed making her laugh harder. She stood up then starts to jump on the bed, I shook my head telling her no but she didn't see me. I walked up to the bed and caught her before she jumped again, placing her on her bum on the bed. Looking into her eyes I smiled, they were so happy.

"We don't jump on the bed baby, that's not what it's for." She giggled and smirked, not good. She stood up and jumped one more time then sat down for good. I looked at her and huffed, "not okay." She lowered her head "not otay mommy." I pet her head and kissed her forehead, "good girl."

"Mommy?" She asked. I looked at her and tilted my head, "yes princess?" "We awe leaving today rite? Cuz I no wan wait any longew. I wan go nowwwwww." She pleaded. I chuckled to myself and pulled her into my lap, "yes princess we are leaving today. We are going to leave in about an hour or two, we just have to finish packing. Can you wait that long for me baby?" "Yes mommy. I'll wait I pwomise." I tilted her head and kissed her lightly, "such a good girl."

Taylor POV

I was so excited! We are FINALLYYYYY going to leave for our trip! I had everything packed. I ran up to mommy and put my suitcase at her feet. "All packed!" She chuckled, "I know you are baby, we packed yesterday. Did you pack your special bag?" I thought for a second, OH she was talking about my stuffies and toys bag. I nodded "yes mama, all packed. Pwomise." She chuckled, "lemme check it sweetie. I gotta make sure you remembered everything." I walked to the front door where the bag was and brought it back to mommy. She opened it up making sure I had my stuffies and my binkie, a blanket and all the pet toys too, can't forget those.

She zipped it back up smiling, "good girl princess, you remembered everything. Why don't we eat some breakfast and then jump in the car and get going, would you. like that?" I started jumping up and down, "PURPLE PANCAKES!!" I screamed. "Shh precious, we can have purple pancakes." She put her hands under my arms lifting me onto her hip. I put my head on her shoulder but not before I kissed her cheek giggling.

Mommy walked us into the kitchen and set me on the counter so I could watch. She grabbed all the ingredients making the batter and grabbing the pan spraying nonstick spray. I swing my legs happy as I watched her do her little cooking dance, and I decided to join in. I jumped down from the counter and went up to mommy hugging her from behind and bouncing up and down trying to dance with her. She chuckled softly looking over her shoulder at me. "What are you doing silly girl?" I giggled. "Twyin to dance wif you mommy. See?" I jumped up and down more excited. She giggled and took the last pancake off the stove putting it on my plate. She handed me the plates to take over to the table while she grabbed silverware and drinks.

We ate our pancakes laughing a ton, mommy was really funny. We had music on as we ate like always and I was being silly putting on a dance show for her, which of course she loved since she thinks I'm so cute (she's wrong☺️).

Mommy stood up cleaning off the table while I ran to the bathroom. As I came out Jay was waiting for me at the door with my coat in her hands all set to go. I giggled and ran up to her slipping my arms into the sleeves of the jacket. I fought with the zipper for a good minute before mommy offered to help me. I moved my hands so she could zip it up and we could get going.

Mommy softly ushered me out of the house and into the car, getting me all buckled into the front seat. She walked around the car getting in the drivers side buckling herself in. As she started the car I yawned, uh oh, sugar rush gone. Mommy giggled and pet my hair then kissed my forehead. She turned on the radio to the Disney station and I started singing along to every. single. song. It wasn't long before an hour had passed and we were getting closer to our destination. I was all jumpy and excited, I couldn't wait to get there.

Mommy and I we're currently singing the tangled duet "I See The Light", cuz it's one of our favorites. Of course I was singing Repunzle's part cuz you know, I am a princess. As soon as it got to the good part mommy and I started really getting into it.

Me: all those days, watching from the windows all those years, outside looking in. All that time never even knowing just how blind I've been. Now I'm here, blinking in the starlight. Now I'm here, suddenly I see. Standing here it's oh so clear I'm where I'm meant to be. And at last I see the light, and it's like the fog has lifted. And at last I see the light, and it's like the sky is new. And it's warm and real and bright, and the world has somehow shifted. All at once everything looks different. Now that I see you.

Mommy: all those days chasing down a daydream. All those years living in a blur. All that time never truly seeing, things the way they were. Now she's here, shining in the starlight. Now she's here, suddenly I know. If she's here, it's crystal clear. I'm where I'm meant to go.

Both: and at last I see light, and it's like the fog has lifted. And at last I see the light, and it's like the sky is new. And it's warm and real and bright, and the world has somehow shifted. All at once everything is different, now that I see you.

I giggled as the song ended and mommy kissed me softly. We soon arrived at our destination and I was practically jumping out the door when I realized there was a child lock on the door, of course. Mommy laughed at my attempt and got out of the car to help me.

Once I was out I went to the back to help mommy grab the bags. We checked in and went to our room to drop the stuff off. I plopped down on the cloud looking bed and closed my eyes. I felt mommy slide next to my spooning me into her side. I cuddled closer into her and wrapped my little arms around her so she wouldn't leave. She chuckled and kissed my forehead softly petting my hair so I would relax.

She started to hum the song from the car as I slowly drifted off to sleep. It was amazing how fast that singing thing worked, especially with me. In a matter of minutes I was dreaming of butterflies and rainbows happy as could be in my sleepland.
