It's just a thing...

Chapter 2

After we had washed up and eaten, we sat by the fire roasting marshmallows. See it was the first time I had ever roasted marshmallows because I had never gone camping. I had come from a very wealthy family and all I ever did was party and play on my phone. The only thing i ever really did outside was hunt and that was only 1 week out of the year. But it was fun roasting marshmallows and being outdoors 24/7, minus the part that we were surviving outdoors trying to not get eaten alive. After we ate our marshmallows we started playing card.

"Liam a queen is bigger than a jack, so I get those cards."

"Fine god it just a stupid game!" as he threw his cards at me and got up to walk away.

"Bro what's your deal, you're being a jerk."

"I don't know Jake you tell me, first of all we are barely surviving in this crappy world and I'm sick of being around you every second. So yeah that's what's wrong! I don't want to live in this world anymore I can't." He yelled.

"Okay I'll give you some space for a few days okay"

"Okay thank you, I'm gonna go to bed I'm tired as heck."

"K night"

"Night"

The next morning I had woken ian up early to go for a walk in the woods to clear around the camp. We had almost gotten all the way around camp, then we saw her, it was Jade running from a walker yelling for help. I saw her trip as we were running to help her. We got there just in time to get the walker and save her.

"Hey" I said

"Hey thanks" she said while trying to catch her breath.

"So you got anyone else with you, we got a camp not to far from here if you wanna stay with us."

She just stared at the ground, eyes beginning to fill with tears. I knew that whoever she had been with was gone.

" Hey it'll be alright, so do you wanna come with us we have a safe camp and a few people."

"Yeah thanks" she said while still looking at the ground

We had gotten back to camp and Ian ran off to go see Ava. Jade and I sat by camp looking into the woods.

"Hey thanks for saving me I don't know what I would have done if you guys didn't find me. I ran out of bullets this morning so all I had was my knife and I'm terrible of using my knife so I probably wouldn't of lasted so thank you so much." She said

"Yeah your welcome, but we're gonna have to teach you how to use your knife because when you use guns, for one they're loud and, for two they waste bullets so we will start teaching you on of these days." I said

After we went actually into camp and had introduced Jade to everyone i left to go see her and talk to her. I started laughing when I saw her playing with Blair.

"What?" She asked

"Nothing" I said still laughing

After a few minutes of watching her I left to go take a nap. When I got back to where I slept there was a walker, I'd seen this walker before. But it was as a human, it was my ex girlfriend Jessica and she was  a walker. I just stared at her I didn't know what to do and I just kept staring at her, it. Sit was stuck behind one of the cots and I didn't do anything but stare at it. Once it got around the cot I came back to myself and stabbed it in the head. Once I stabbed it I sat there holding her in my lap crying. I must have sat there for hours because next thing I knew i was asleep on the floor with Jessica in my lap.
