I lay there motionless, in my bed. The only thing in my mind is telling me to go forget about everything that happened. Go back to the dark place I was before.
I get up out of bed throw on my leather jacket and run my fingers through my hair. I find my fake ID and put it in my purse.
"Finley where are you going?"
I just ignore him and continue walking towards the door.
"Finley, let me go with you."
I turn to him, " I told you to back off so please go with it." And with that I leave the apartment.
I hail a taxi once outside, I sit in the back and fasten my seatbelt. Everything was just a blur, a blur of horrible mistakes.
"Bring me to the closest bar." The taxi driver who was in his late fifties looks at me worriedly. But starts the car and does just that.
I pay him, say thanks and flash the guard at the entrance my ID. He doesn't take a second look and let's me in. I did have a bit of money saved up and this is where il be blowing it.
I sit down at the bar ignoring the stair of the men.
I wave at the bartender to approach, "give me something good but strong." I ask, not wanting to make a decision on anything.
He sets down a glass, I made sure to see what he put in it just in case.
I take a big sip, the alcohol burning my throat. A feeling I would strive to get, it would help me forget.
5 drinks later and I can hardly walk.
Everything was out of proportion and the world was spinning at super speed.
"Calm down!" I kept yelling, telling everything to stop spinning uncontrollably. I decide to walk home, I would have taken a taxi in the first place if I knew the bar was this close. I walk stumbling once in awhile never falling.
I feel someone start walking close to me but Il scare him off, "leave! I will bight you're head off if you don't.Im a ninja!" I say throwing an arm up in the air.
I hear the person chuckle, but couldn't make out who he was, my vision was to blurry.
I feel my head start pounding and everything spinning even faster, I was plummeting towards the ground and fast but just before I hit the ground I feel a pair of toned arms caress me and save me from the ground.
"Finley, it's James just let me take you home."
I inhale sharply and start yelling, " I told you to stay out of my life! I told you to leave me be! Just let me go and get lost let me leave this horrible place!"
"Finley, you're hammered. We're going."
I sigh, knowing his strongness is nothing against my well not strongness."
-------------
"Shit!shit shit shit crap crap crap crap crap."My head felt it was about to burst. The pounding in my head deafening, the pain unbearable. I turn around in my bed to see a glass of water and some Tylenol. I take some not willingly, not wanting James's help.
But anything to dull the headache I would take.
I lay in bed for the rest of the day not wanting to face James or Rachel if she was home.
Fragments of last night would appear in my mind, dancing wildly, getting another after another drink.
Making the stupid decision of walking home alone, James saving me from another trip to the ground.
Even with my window closed the sound of a car honking would make my head hurt even more. I do the only thing that could distract me, my guitar.
I strum a pattern and just continue it for what seems like forever.
I feel my eyes get heavy and decide it times for another little nap.
