Pepper's POV: (the picture is what I would imagine Pepper to look like)

'Well, it was worth it,' I thought to myself as my friends and I tumbled down into the darkness.

"Shit!" I yelled in panic. "Floor! The Floor! There's a damned floor coming!"

"We're all going to die!" Scott screamed.

"Yeah, and it will all be Pepper's fault too," Ivy said, perfectly normal. She had her arms crossed in annoyance as she fell through the air with us.

Hollie, who had stayed silent this whole time, commented as she looked around, "It could be a little bit more interesting."

What had happened earlier that day...

Hollie, Scott, Ivy, and I were all at our 'secret place' in the meadow near Scott's house. He lives on a farms so it's really easy to find small meadows there, but there is a certain one we go to. It's pretty far away from the house, so far that you can't see it. In that meadow is a pond with small stepping stones which, believe me, they're slippery. There is an old swing that we play on sometimes. Ivy often brings books with her to read to us out loud. It's peaceful and quiet. It's my favorite place to be.

Today, was a bit different. I'm not sure even sure why, now that I think back to it. It might have been that the sky was a bit darker, or maybe it was because we went at seven o'clock, instead of at three. But in any case something about today was a bit different.

"Hey," I said as I looked around cautiously. "Do you guys feel like we're being watched?"

As soon as I said that there was a russell in the bushes. Our heads snapped in that direction.

"You've been feeling that too?" Hollie asked. "I thought it was just me."

"Nope, I've been feeling it since we first got here," Scott commented, also looking around for any signs of an intruder.

Ivy put her bookmark in the book she was reading to us, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, before she stood up. Scott did the same, getting up with her. Following there lead I got up, and we all cautiously moved around the meadow looking for... Something.

At the time I had no idea what we were looking for. I had no idea that what I was about to do would change my world view. I closed my eyes and I felt a strong presents to my right. Having terrible sense of direction I had no clue that I was going to walk straight into the pond in almost twenty five steps.

That was the number I took before Scott came over to me and said, "Are you alright?"

I jumped, not expecting the voice from behind me. I spun around, my eyes wide open, and I took a step backwards. That was where I made my mistake. Instead of ground, I stepped on nothingness. There was nothing there to catch me which made me lash out to grab Scott, the closest thing to me, who took the blow unexpectedly. He wobbled and then toppled over on top of me... Or it would have been if a black abyss hadn't just opened up.

"Woah!" Scott said loudly as I yelled, "What the?"

Then Ivy and Hollie had to jump in because they were worried.

Now, back in reality, we were currently falling down a black dark hole. Much like Alice who fell down into Wonderland. The girl who we were reading about 5 minutes earlier.

"Ahhh!" Scott and I screamed, hugging each other for dear life. The ground came closer, and closer. I squeezed my eyes closed and waited for the impacted, but none came. I peaked an eye open and saw we had stopped just in time. Two inches off the ground to be exact. I sighed in relief, but the force dropped me on my face. I groan as I sat up, rubbing my nose.

"That hurt," I said.

The force had dropped Ivy and Hollie down gently before the portal/vortex like thing closed.

"That certainly was an experience," Hollie said, brushing herself off. She suddenly stopped as she looked at her clothes. We were in Victorian clothing.

"Uh... What's this?" I asked as I picked up part of the dress I wore.

"What century are we in?" Ivy asked looking up from her examination of her dress.

"Better question, Where the hell are we?" Scott asked looking around.

"I would give you a better answer than I don't know, but we've landed in the middle of the woods after being dropped her by some portal, abyss thing and I don't have an answer for that. I'm not very good at identifying plants either," Ivy replied. "I'm better at identifying buildings and architecture."

"Well, what should we do?" I asked.

"Maybe we should wait until morning to wander around and find some help," Hollie suggested.

"That sounds like a plan," Ivy agreed.

"Ok, that's fine with me," I said as I started to climb a big tree. Once at the top I intertwined the branches with ease and I had made some kind of bed. Not the most comfortable, but it worked. Soon, I fell asleep.
