What the fuck?

"I'm sorry." I quickly turned my head towards the voice.

"Why?" I ask Jamie with confusion.

"You had to see him again. I didn't know he would practice there like he's the Co- captain of the football team and--" I stopped her from babbling again.

"It's alright, J. We can't avoid eachother. You know that."

"Yeah. Well, never mind." She said dismissing the topic. I'm glad we both agreed to stop.

"Shopping?" I ask, trying to lighten up the mood that held tension in the atmosphere.

"Please, let's."

Jamie and I spent the whole afternoon just window shopping and mostly spent our money on food, makeup and food. Since it's Saturday, we planned to have a slumber party, only that, we only had 2 guests invited and that's ofcourse, the hosts of the party. Me and Jamie. We gathered everything. Pillow forts, chips,  sodas, face masks, nail polish, and mostly everything that would call what we had a "slumber party."

I called my mother to tell her about how I would be sleeping over at Jamie's  house to have a homecoming party. Relieved washed over me that she agreed. Mother doesnt really like me staying over at a friends house to have a sleepover. I guess she knew that Jamie wasnt those types of people I was friends with back then in New York.

"Wanna watch netflix?" Jamie asks heading for the remote.

"Why not?" I said, concentrating while trying not to mess up my newly painted nails. It was a cute, teal colored nail polish gold and silver glitter included.

"Let's cry our hearts out or die from horror?" Jamie asked, hinting that I should pick the first option. Usually, I would pick the horror movies but I'm not in the mood today after the early encounter this morning.

"Cry our hearts out." I said grinning.

"Phew. I dont wanna sleep seeing ghosts and demons in my room." Jamie said sighing before chuckling.

"But, I get to pick the first movie." I said.

"Be my guest." Jamie handed me the remote. I've always wanted to watch Naomi's no kiss list. It's title made me interested about plot and to see how Victoria Justice would act.

The story centers on two bestfriends. A guy and a girl. You might be thinking, oh its just one of those movies like love, rosie. Or friends with benefits. Or even forrest gump. But the thing is, the guy is gay. Legit. But he won't turn male or anything like that.

Mostly its about finding true friendship and not breaking the bond between 2 bestfriends just because of some guy. Even if you like your guy bestfriend more than the actual relationship you have with him. Ouch. The male lead was really hot an he pulled off the "gay" role well.

"If I were a guy, I'd stay a guy and fall in love with you instead you know."

"Hahaha. Good to know babe." I said hugging Jamie.

"So what next? Im so bored to death." Jamie asked after watching our fourth movie, The Notebook.

A yawn escaped before I even answered.

"Right. Sleep for the beauties." Jamie said laughing.

I just smiled and grabbed a pillow and a blanket.

"You know, I've been thinking."

"What?" A yawn escaped again.

"What would've happen if you never left."

"J, I know." Sadness dawned over me.
" What matters now is that im back. For good. Don't forget that." I gave a small smile.

"I'm just so sorry for what happened earlier. You looked like you wanted to go over and talk to him but I stopped you because I didn't want you to be hurt." Jamie said while holding my hand.

Im already hurt and broken J. You just dont know.

"Well, wanna know about the details of our breakup?" I said, letting go of a breath that I didnt even know I was holding.

"If you'd like. I wont force you unless if its the right time to. I don't want you to think of unpleasant memories and turn this party upside down you know?"

"It already went down the moment we started watching A walk to Remember, J. Besides, you're my best friend. Why would I keep you out of the story?"

"You're right. You're getting smarter, S."

"Hahaha. Sucks to be you." I said with sarcasm on my tone while rolling my eyes.

This is gonna be a long night.
