Danger, Deception, and Risk

I remember that Master Hasashi always tried to appeal to my best interest. Whether it was having me run more than the boys that I trained with or taking extra free time when the others, who fooled around, had to spend more time training.

It always puzzled me, because I had no idea what my father did to make Master Hasashi pay such a large debt to him. As far as I was concerned at that time, my father was a deadbeat who ran around to find those who apparently "wronged" him for a living. A stubborn ass. I truly considered Hasashi to be my father, but my father figure changed after I was sent to the Special Forces int the U.S.

There were many reasons why I was sent before my father decided that I was ready to, but the main ones were plain in my vision. Many of the unhappy Shirai Ryu members were unhappy with Master Hasashi's way of teaching the younger warriors, believed that he shouldn't be around children. Some wanted to kill him, I heard them in the halls, because they knew he was a demon. Others thought that because he needed time alone and was too cold towards others that he was unfit to lead the clan.

Red Dragon were also a growing threat in our area in the Himalayas. They had begun to sneak in child spies to report the on goings of the clan, take their secrets, the weapons we had. All of the matters that we considered sacred were at risk. So everyone was interviewed, closely watched to see what they were doing in their free time. It was too much for Master Hasashi to truly say I was safe. I remember the day that I was called into his office, it was a clear day. Cold of course. But a good day.

"Master Hasashi? You called me to you urgently." I sat down with him, because he seemed quite perturbed.

"I'm afraid that you must leave earlier than expected Takahashi. You've proven yourself to be quite the warrior. It was an honor to train with you..." He turned away.

"M-Master, excuse my denial of your wishes, but don't you think that I should stay here a bit longer? I still lack with a sword." I liked swords because they had no need of ammunition and were relatively light weight. It would be a shame if I had to leave when I had so much to do.

"This is no easy decision Takeda. You need to leave and I mean it." He gave the stern look that he always gave to make his point.

"I promise I can handle myself master, please don't make me leave so soon, I-I promise!"
He shook his head and let me out. "I will make sure that those that will hold you at SF are wonderful to you. It will be as if you were still at home."

I nodded and held my head up. Hasashi knew what was best and I needed to accept that. Even if I didn't think I was ready.

"Oh, and Takeda. You will need to brush up on your English before you go because you will be in the American base of operations. "

I nodded. It was for the best.  Or at least I hoped so.
