A shiver ran down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck tingled. "Rie...Rie...It's time to get up Rie Rie." The voice whispered, cool breath on my ear.

I pulled my blanket up to my chin. "No...go away."I moaned, blindly swatting at an area near my ear. I felt a tugging at the blanket but I refused to let this take me away from my lovely sleep. Then the blaring began. Beep...beep...beep...

"Come on Rie, you have to get up now."

"Oh my god! Shut up!" I whined.

"The alarm's not going to stop no matter how much you whine." My mother called from the hallway. I groaned and flopped my hand in the general direction of my alarm clock and beat it into submission.

With the alarm now quiet I snuggled back into my pillow, absorbing the warmth of my bed. "Mmm... I love you so much." I whispered to my bedding.

"How flattering, now get up." The annoying voice said, breathing cold air down my neck.

"I don't want to." I grumbled.

"Mallorie, I don't hear any footsteps." My mother called from downstairs.

I groaned and sat up pulling my blonde bangs out of my eyes. "Yeah, okay." I mumbled. "I'll be down in a few." I called back down to my mother. Then I turned my glare on Janson who was looking pleased with himself. "You really suck."

"Well at least you're wide awake." He grinned. Moving to follow me on my way to the closet. "It's really cold today, you're going to want a sweater." He told me.

I ignored him and continued browsing through my T-shirts. I glanced at him, hoping he wouldn't be looking, and luckily he wasn't. Not wanting to admit he was right I reached over, snatched up a pair of jeans and the closest sweater and headed to the door.

Of course he didn't leave me alone though. He followed me out into the hallway. "You should go over some of your phrases for that Latin test tomorrow. You haven't studied at all." He said, ignoring my rudeness.

I groaned, remembering the stupid test I had the next day. "It's on present conjugations right?"

He stopped at the threshold as I entered the door to the bathroom. "Yeah. Want me to go through some with you?" He offered. I nodded slightly. "Okay, I'll say a couple of phrases and you translate them."

I nodded again, it was our usual routine. "After my shower." I closed the door on him and turned on the hot water.

I'd barely been in the bathroom twenty minutes when Janson returned outside the door and told me to hurry up before I'd be late.

"You're a jerk." I grumbled leaving the bathroom and heading back to my room."If I can't enjoy my sleep can I at least enjoy my shower?"

"Agricola laborat." He replied, ignoring me.

"The farmer works, or the farmer is working." I said.

"Right. Am i silent?"

"Of course not, I hear you right now." I teased, going through one of my drawers. "Taceone?"

"Yes, you smart ass." He teased me back. "Debemus?"

I grabbed my name tag from the drawer triumphantly, barely thinking as I answer, "We owe, or we must."

We continued as I made my bed and retrieved my work bag. I barely got anything wrong, apparently I didn't need to study for my latin test to do well. "Subsisto debemus."

I growled, I hate when words have multiple meanings. "We have to stop, or we should stop?" I replied.

"Yes."
