"Give up. It is imposible for you to control the wind. You are a waste." Said Karin to her younger sister in the middle of their magic practice.

"I will do it one day. Just need..."

"Time? No, Molly. You are already 16 years old and you can't even make a flower grow fast." Karin rolled her eyes and crossed her long arm.

She was right. Since she was born, Molly had not been able to make good use of her  magical powers even when she was meant to be a magician. Even if she practiced a lot, she could not do what her family had been doing for so many generations. She was like the embarasement of her relatives.

Her sister had always recieved her parents' attention for her talent with controlling water and climate. Always clapped for being so beautiful and given, Karin, was like the perfect girl for everyone. Their mother called her 'princess of heart' and always brushed her blond hair with a golden comb, while Molly had to do it by herself.

"But, Karin, it is not my fault." Said Molly trying to smile at her sister. "I don't know why I can't create magic."

"Because you are a waste, Molly. Let's enter the house because it is time to eat."

The house where they lived was huge and the decoration was the one their mother had chosen. Golden wardrobes and statues. The dinning table was made of oak and was long even when they were just four the ones who lived there.

The siblings' mother was already on the front of the table. She was dressed in a green short dress and black high heels. Her blue eyes were focused on Karin and smirked at her.

"Mom." Said Karin taking her seat near her mother.

Molly sat down next to her sister and recieved a dish full of wild ripe fruits that had been recollected by the gardener.

"Thank you, Sara." She said smiling at the young girl who had put the dish on the table.

"You are welcome." The young girl smiled pleased and returned to the kitchen.

"Your dad will be arriving soon." Said the mother looking a Karin, "Your father has good news. It has to do with Prince  Jhon."and smiled at the daughter who she considered the apple on her eye.

Karin opened her eyes widely. "Handsome prince John. Is he not the one who organised the most elegant ball ever? Or is he not the one who faught against his enemies using just a wooden blade?"

"The same, darling."

Molly taught a bit. She had never seen that prince, heard of him so many times that she had already started to think he was believed to be a god. However, or her he was nothing more than a mere human.

"A human prince." Said Molly without noticing. Her mother and her sister looked at her bafftled. Her mother chuckled and rose to her feet to say something to her daughter on the ear.

Molly was starting to feel nervous. Could her mother be capable of kicking her? No, right?

"Mother, I... " she could even feel the woman's lips caressing her ear.

"Little Molly, he might be a human, but you being a magician cannot even use your powers." She whispered. "Come on Karin."

Karin and her mother left the room leaving Molly lost in her thoughts. She broke off sanking her face on her hands and pressing it against her plams. It was always like that, her mother reminding her she had no value for them or had no talent like her sister. She always had to be compared. The only person she could really trust was her grandmother. The elderly woman who considered her granddaughter the most beautiful girl and the one with me purest heart in the whole world.
