Next day at school:
Riley was at her locker waiting for maya. Then Missy came over and said "Hey brat Did you're prince charming leave you yet? I don't see why he hasnt. He should have came to me. I deserve him...although I'm pretty sure he's only with you for a bet or something" giving a "boo hoo" frown.

"Hey missy!! Yeah, so about calling me a brat, you know what they say. It takes one to know one." I say with a smirk on my face.

Suddenly missy slams me aginst the lockers and says "you know, yesterday lucas took me into a classroom and he kissed me. After he said he was going to dump you for me bc he knows that me and him are equally amazing people and we are meant for each other." Now she was in my face and on my last nerve.

I kneed her in the stomache and now she was against the lockers. "Not even in your dreams. Also, Lucas would never do that because he told me he's in love with me and I am trusting him, he is also SOOOO much of a better person you will ever be and you are really getting on my last nerve. So I'm not taking it from you anymore. I'm standing up for myself and you aren't going to insult me ever again!" I let go and she slapped me in the face so hard it knocked me out and I fell to the floor. The last thing I heard was "riley!"

RILEY POV
I kind of woke up. Half awake. My eyes were closed and I was still asleep but I could hear what was going on barely. "Has she gotten any better?"
"Not really. It's just a matter of what she chooses to do. She can chose to wake up or die" what?!?! It's my decision. That's weird stuff man....I want to wake up!!! Suddenly my eyes flew open and I sat right up. Then everyone was looking at me like I was a a zombie or something.

Then I looked around. I saw lucas at my right, my parents at the end of the bed, a doctor next to lucas then finally maya, farkle and auggie to my left. "That was so cool!!!why do I have a headache?" I then noticed I was in a hospital room. "What the heck just happened?!?!" Maya said. "well I think I know why. I was half awake but my eyes were closed and I could hear everything. Well from when someone asked if I was getting better. Then the doctor said it was my choice and I thought "what?!?! It's my decision?! That's weird stuff man....I want to wake up!!!" Then the doctor said "we have had this happen before...patients are in a coma and they can hear everything and they decide if they want to wake up or not." "A stupid slap on the face put me in a coma?!!?!? When I get out of here missy is gonna get it!!!...speaking of how long have I been in here?"
"A month" Lucas said
"Oh now she's gon- what?!!?..ow. I'm gonna lay down now.. but I want it explained to me how this happened."
"Well...Missy slapped you so hard, you fell over and went unconsious, and you went in a coma because it affected your body."
"Is anything wrong with me?disabilitys?anything like that?"
"You are very lucky miss matthews. You only have a very small mental illness where you got hit. It will heal over time but it was the part of your brain that you use to do schoolwork. Where you keep that kind of information stored."
"How long will it take to heal?"
"Anywhere from a week to a year."
"Ok. One more question."
"Yes?"
"When do I get outta here?"
"Well now that you are awake we are just going to scan you for anything else that Might be wrong. Then your parents just have to fill out the release papers."
"Yay!" Then auggie, my parents, maya and farkle gave me hugs and everyone left knowing that I would want to talk to lucas. I looked over at him. "Hi." I said
"Hey" I smiled and he smiled.
"I missed you. I am so happy your awake this has been the worst month of my life." He said with this look on his face:😊
"I was in a coma and didn't really feel anything but if I was to feel something it would have been missing you." He blushed then I had this look on my face:😂
"Why are you laughing?" He asked me
"Because you look so cute when you blush."(he blushed again)
"Will you lay with me?"
"Of course baby girl" I blushed. I love it when he calls me that!I thought. I moved over and he layed next to me.
"Oh do ya now?"
"Said it out loud?"
"Ya"

"I really have to work on that!" I layed my head on his shoulder.
"Hey. As soon as missy hit me I heard someone yell my name. Who was that I couldn't tell."
"Me."
"Oh. So you heard what I said to her?"
"All of it. I wanted to see how you would react to it with ought me stepping in. Maya heard it too. She was next to me."
"Oohh. So you heard everything I said?"
"Yep."
"Every bit?"
"Uh huh."
"Wow that's embarrassing."
"no it isnt. I was suprised you had that in you. I never really saw it in you to pin someone against the lockers."

"I was sooo mad with her for what she said I wanted to make her head explode." I said making and explosion gesture with my hands and sound affects from my mouth. Lucas laughed
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"No."i said sitting up. I grabbed his face.
"Iiii lllooovvveee yyyyyoooouuuu."
"But." He said
"I am in love with you." And he slid a ring on my finger and said "and I want to seal it with a promise ring."
"Lucas it's beautiful!!I am in love with you too."

"Just wait till my dad finds out he's not going to be so happy." Then maya walks in. "Did you hear what he said when lucas asked for his blessing to take you out on a date?!?! He totally ships rucas."

"Were you eavesdropping?!?!!?"
"No. I just happened to be standing right outside this door and happened to be hearing your conversation." She said looking innocent. "SERIOUSLY though. WHO DOESN'T SHIP RUCAS?!?!!?"

"I'M GOING TO MAKE YOUR HEAD EXPLODE TOO!"
"YEAH. But then my grave will prbly be next to missy's and if that happens I will haunt your soul because you would decide to torture me like that!"
