I was not yet born when it happened,

It was worse than what I have imagined.

They came as quick as death,

They were masters of stealth.

To this day this crime is hardly mentioned.

The mere thought fills my eyes with tears,

We have waited for over a hundred years.

Admit, you have caused us pain,

And stole most of our terrain.

Yet we still screen that 'we are here.'

All the facts you try to reshape,

Yet the truth you cannot escape.

We know what we have seen,

On April 1915.

At all these facts you only gape.

Give us justice for the Genocide,

Answers for all the tears we have cried.

Our hearts are still broken,

Our wounds are still open.
It happened, the Armenian Genocide.
