He nodded with a sad expression and lifted my chin with his finger. I forced a smiled, but it appeared as grimace. He laughed, then hugged me tightly. " Keep your locket close by and I will never be far away.", he whispered. I began to sob.
" What is it?", he asked.
" I can't say goodbye to you again! Not again! I said goodbye before and it was too hard for me, but now I have to do it again!", I cried.
" It's okay. You will always have me in you-"
" In my heart...I will always have you in my heart.", I finished for him.
" Yes. I love you!", he told me.
" I love you more, Grandfather!", I sobbed. I huged him again, unable to let go.
" Goodbye, Gracie."
" Don't leave."
I watched with tears in my eyes as my Grandfather let go and walked past me. He was smiling as he casually walked to the double doors. He looked over his shoulder at me and grinned his signature grin, then walked through the doors into the sunlight. His figure vanished into the skies. I checked my locket. His picture was back. It was right where it was before....in my heart. Forever and always. I will always love my Grandfather. I held my locket between my fingers and smiled.
I love my Grandfather...
