Chapter 3

Amara's P.O.V
Excitement was all I felt as adrenaline rushed through my body, this was the feeling that I had as I looked up at my father who was standing on the stage ready to make the announcement, the surprise he said he was going to announce during my birthday party.

"My brother and sister assassins, we have come here today to celebrate my one and only child Amara Valentine Zaida Black's 18th birthday, in the pack world when a were turns 18 they are excited because they can take their father's place as Alpha but in the assassin world turning 18 means that the child of the master of the assassins can take over their father's position as master or in my case queen". Just than my father had found who he was looking for which was me and gave me a small smile.

"And that brings me to the surprise that I have for my daughter, today I will be resigning as the demon wolf and the demon princess, my daughter will be the new demon wolf" he said giving me a huge smile, I walked up onto the stage trying to hide my excitement and shook my father's hand before he took off his ring, the demon ring which signifies that you're the demon wolf and placed it on my finger.

Just then a bright light had shone onto my face. I tried covering my face with my hands but even with so much effort it was no use, that's when I opened my eyes and realized it was only just a dream and the light shinning into my face was the sun shinning from my window.

"Ugh" I called out in annoyance. Wait did I just see the sun, does that mean yes! It's my birthday! I got of bed and headed straight for the bathroom, went through my everyday morning routine which consisted of bathing, brushing my teeth, brushing my hair and getting ready for another day of work. And when I say work I mean tons and tons of training but today I might finish early since I'd have to get ready for my birthday party.

I got out of my room and headed towards the dinning room Well here with us assassins for meal times we have to all gather at the dinning hall at a certain time checking my watch it read 7:30 which meant I was 30 minutes late I hurriedly ran through the corridor until I reached the dinning room which was already filled with the assassins sitting in their designated seats.

I slowly walked to my seat which was on my father's right side when he finally noticed me and laughed. " ha ha ha! I never thought I'd live to see the day my daughter slept in, I guess its because she must have been so excited about her birthday that she slept late?" My father said with a grin looking straight at me.

"No father........ I just slept in, that's all." I said back quickly after thinking of what to reply h with. "Well never mind that, Happy Birthday Amara!" My father said, by now I was standing in front of my seat and all eyes were on me and my father. "Happy Birthday Demon Princess" all the assassins said straight after my father had acknowledged me. "Thank you all and thank you father" I said looking around the room before sitting down at my seat and finally chowing down into my pancakes.

After breakfast I did my rounds around the territory which I usually did by myself before I went to the gym which consisted of mostly advanced assassins. After hours in the gym I checked my watch that read out 12 I quickly wiped the sweat off my body and started jogging to the dinning hall to grab lunch before my training session with the new recruits.

After lunch!

"Ok! I think that's all for today, I want everyone to wake up early tomorrow since none of you passed you will all make 100 rounds around the whole territory and if you don't finish you won't eat for the whole week" I said sternly looking at all the recruits panting heavily.

"Yes Demon princess!" They all said bowing their heads down at me.

"Oh and by the way when I say no eating for the week it doesn't mean you will not do your trainings, you will still have to do your trainings everyday" I said with a smirk as I looked down to my watch which now read 5, which meant I had a full 2 hours to get ready as I was jogging towards my room I bumped into none other than
Adrian!

"Happy birthday babe! Just here to give you a special present I don't usually give presents but you're an exception".
"Adrian I'm 18 not 8!" I said annoyed
"Yes but doesn't mean I can't give you anything, and plus you look stressed come on its your birthday let me help you loosen up a bit" he smirked putting his hands around my waist pulling me towards him closing the gap between us.

"How did you know I wanted that Adri!" I was then pushed onto my door as I grind onto Adrian I could feel his excitement I twisted the door knob of my door while leaning on it I slowly opened it while slipping in a bit standing at the door way.

"Yeah! I don't think a quickie would be that bad aye?" I said while trailing my fingers onto his jaw while whispering it into his ear I slowly moved closer to kiss him when I saw that he had closed his eyes I took that opportunity, I punched his right eye as hard as I could and slammed the door shut as he fell back and a cry of pain was heard. I told you already Adrian, I guess some people just never learn I thought as I went to get ready.
