A car was honking outside and I looked through the window. It was Jennifer, she was waiting outside in her blue mini cooper, she was a year older than me, so she already had her drivers licence.
"Don't you look nice darling." Jennifer said while I opened the door at the passengers side. I was wearing some jeans with a cute flower printed tank top.
"Thank you Jen, you look nice too, is that another new dress?"
Jen her parents were kind of rich, as mine. She got the car for her 18th birthday and if she wants something she just has to ask. But don't get me wrong, she isn't like that. She has a job, so if she wants something really bad, she just saves the money for it. It's more mature, and it helps here stand on here own feet as she always says.
"Are you kidding me? You were with me the day I bought this thing. Don't you remember? That was two months ago, when we wanted to buy something for my sister her birthday?"
"And your birthday as well? I do remember, you bought the dress for yourself, while you bought a little necklace for your sister."
Jennifer had a twin sister, Sasha. She looks nothing like here, Jennifer likes shopping, but Sasha prefers sitting at home. She is kind though, but I don't see here that much.
"See! You do remember." She chuckled. "But what is that scratch on your head?"
I felt with my hand on the place that miraculously appeared on my head this morning. "It don't know, I think I bumped my head in my sleep or something."
The rest of the car ride we talked about what we could do in the short vacation that we had. She mentioned something about going to the mall, or perhaps go bowling.
"These damn car parks, why is there never a space close to the door? I don't like walking." Jennifer said as she parked her car in a spot that was nowhere near a the entrance of the cinema.
We got out of the car and hurried a little bit, because we were a little late.
"Two tickets to After Earth please." I said to the women behind the glass.
"That's 18 pound please. And hurry up, the movie is about to start. You will find it on the third floor."
I gave her the money and we quickly went to the third floor. The commercials were just finished, so we were right on time.
"That was a nice film, wasn't it?" Jen said to me when the movie was finished and we were walking to the parking lot..
"Yes it was, thank you for taking me, I really needed that."
"How that so?"
I was debating if I should tell her about the dream I had and how confusing it was, we do tell each other everything. But I decided that I just had to leave it, she probably will think I'm nuts.
"Oh just because, I felt like doing something." I told her as an excuse.
Around 17:30 I was home again, just in time for dinner. I told my dad about the movie and he told us the usual things about what happened at his work. Renee was still mad at me for the attitude I gave her this morning. She was hard on letting things go.
After dinner I took Jackie outside for a long walk through the forest. I threw a ball but stubborn as she was, she looked confused at me as if not knowing what to do. So I sighed as I walked trough the bushes to collect it. I couldn't see very much, because it was already getting dark. I took a misstep and fell, stupid forest. Stupid ball.
"Need some help?" I heard a familiar voice say from behind.
I turned around and looked up to a man that was standing over me, offering his hand. As soon as I had taken his hand and was standing again, he backed off.
"I'm sorry, you can manage, right?" And he quickly walked away.
That was weird, he looked slightly familiar, but I guess that my mind only made that up. Because it was also getting very dark to recognise anyone that wasn't right in front of you.
I took the ball and walked back to the house with Jackie by my side. And I was starting to get cold too, so when I was home I went upstairs to my bed right away.
I didn't go to sleep, it was just something past 9 o'clock. So I took a book from one of my favourite writers and began to read.
After a while my eyes began to droop, so I closed them.
"Sir, I think she's waking up." My eyes slowly opened to see a set of heads hovering above me.
"Rikkie! How are you feeling?" Matthew asked me.
I tried to sit up straight and looked around to see Scott, Matthew, Daniel and another slightly older women staring at me. I am in the living room, laying on the couch.
"What.." I began, "what's going on?" I asked.
"You don't know? We where in the garden when you suddenly passed out. So I carried you to the house where we laid you down here. You had a little wound on your head so I cleaned it. You slept the whole night." Matthew said.
I felt the bandage on my forehead, so I did fall.. I guess.
I was getting nervous from all the people staring at me. Matthew noticed. "Can you please all leave the room? She needs her rest." He asked nicely.
"I'm glad you're OK." Daniel said as he walked out. Scott and the older women left the room too.
Matthew turned to me again. "Do you have any idea why you could pass out like that?"
"No, I woke up." I tell Matthew.
"What do you mean by I woke up?" He replied.
"Well, this is just a dream, and I forgot to turn my alarm off, so that woke me. But now I am asleep again, and I don't know why I don't get out of this dream. It keeps coming back."
Matthew looks at me as if I suddenly had grown two heads. He thinks before he says, "you know this isn't a dream? You must've hit the ground very hard."
"No, I swear, this is just like a time travelling dream. I live in the 21st century. We have cars and mobile phone's and public transportation, so I don't know what is wrong with me that I keep dreaming this dream and-"
"Woa hey, slow down there. I think you just had a very weird dream when you were out and that you just have to come to your senses."
"No! I can proof it! The next time I go to sleep.. or wake up, I'll take my cellphone with me, and I'll show it to you."
"Sure, that's fine, now just rest, okay?" He said on a soothing tone. He pets me on the head and then walks away.
I quickly pull the blanket off of me and run after him.
I lay my hand on his shoulder and he turns around.
He puts his hands on my shoulders and I felt tiny tingles there where he touched me. "And maybe if you feel better I can take you home." He said while pushing me back to the couch.
A shock went trough me as I realised I didn't want to leave him here. I think I just couldn't. "But I have no place to go, I'll told you, I'm from another century, and I feel fine."
His eyebrow shot up, and he was thinking for a moment.
"We'll see, but if you're sure you feel fine, let me give you some other clothes, so we can do something fun."
