But still, we're back for some more. This meant to be two chapters, but we realized it wouldn't come out right. Thus, a kinda longer chapter. Enjoy! c: )

After work had ended around 8 pm, most of them (Ross, Adam, Max, Barney, Tim, The Luclins, Alesa, Mason and Red) had dinner together. Throughout the day, Ross had done a fairly good job trying to help his friend..

..Yeah.His friend..

Allow me to explain. He..well, he's liked Max for quite a long time. But, he isn't really looking to be together. Not really because he knows Max is straight, but more so because he doesn't really expect it. He's fine with them just being friends.

Though that doesn't mean he doesn't sometimes want to be. There is points that he wants someone to cuddle at night and someone to call his.

"I think Ross is in the space again." Barney said, smile obvious in his voice.

Max glanced up from his phone to look at the man across from him, who was staring at the table with a rose blush across his pale skin. He looked at Adam, who grinned and grabbed a bread stick and slowly reached over to poke the narwhal with it. He sighed, swiping the bread from his friends hand, before putting it back on the plate and lightly kicking the other from under the table.

"Ow!" Ross yelped, nearly falling out of his chair, managing to hit his knee on the table. Tim laughed quietly while Alesa asked if he was okay, Max trying to hide the small smile on his face. After everyone had confirmed, yes he's okay, no he's not dying internally, and calmed down they continued on with dinner and small jokes.

Max glanced back over at Ross, who was slowly spacing out on the table again. He sighed, low enough for the other to hear, making him snap back up with a confused look.

"Ross? Can I talk to you for a moment?" He whispered. The other nodded, both of them excusing themselves before sliding out of the chairs and making way into the bathrooms. After checking the stalls to see if they were alone, Max turned towards him with a mostly confused face.

"What's up with you today? You've been really nice all day, which is kinda unusual for you. Did something happen?" He said, tilting his head slightly with a now worried expression.

Ross tensed up a little, before relaxing.

"I don't know..You kinda just seemed a little down lately. I thought I could cheer you up.." He replied, looking down at the floor.

"Ross, I'm fine. I've just been a little stressed lately. I didn't get much sleep and wasn't able to get any coffee this morning, so I wasn't in the best mood. I didn't mean to worry you bud." Max smiled sympathetically, stepping over and giving him a small hug. He was only looking out for him.

"Alright.." The other sighed, before looking up again. "..This is kinda awkward now, isn't it..?"

"Little bit." Max smiled, shifting his feet a little.

Ross snickered a little, before glancing at the clock. "Do you..wanna just go home or something?"

With that, Max's eyes suddenly lit up. "I mean...I have a really stupid idea if you want to work with that."

"How stupid?" Ross asked,  both curious and scared to know what it is.

"'Pillow fort wars' stupid." Max replied, grinning  a bit.

"..Think we can do it before they're done and Tim gets home?"

"Probably."

"Lets do it."

With that, they quickly notified the others of their leave and made their way home, giggling quietly as they planned more into the idea.

- Skip to the apartment -

After getting home, they quickly had gathered all the mattresses, pillows and blankets they could to make two fortresses. After that, they quickly named their forts and prepared their weapon of choice: Paper Airplanes.

After twenty minutes of setting up, they waited for Tim to get back (Who texted Ross, letting him know he was on his way back, and that Barney, Adam and Red would be with him.) in one fort, a pile of paper planes prepared to attack and the lights off. Neither of them were willing to make the first move, so they decided to wait for Tim, and with the mention of Red, Adam and Barney, made more planes for the 6 of them in case.

Soon enough, the familiar sound of a certain car was heard outside the house. The two boys ducked down into their fort, turning off the flashlight they were using and peering out of the small cracks at the door, with a paper airplane in their hands.

The door creaked open, the silhouettes of 4 men walking in clear against the slightly illuminated outdoors. Barney mumbled something in confusion, while Tim raised an eyebrow at the odd darkness of the apartment, feeling the wall for the switch. Finally finding it, he hesitated before flipping it.

Almost immediately, the four men were attacked by paper planes and yelling, while the four men that had just walked in let out startled shrieks. Probably not good for the neighbors.

Eventually Red,Barney and Adam ended up hiding in the fort opposite of Max and Ross, and Tim quickly slid in with them at the realization that he was in the middle of the soon-to-be warzone.

"What did you two do?!" Tim asked quietly, trying not to break apart the fortress.

"Make something for all of us to do!" Max whispered back, trying to fight back against the others, who were laughing loudly and attacking (with horrible aim..)

With that, Tim didn't question any more and guarded the entrance to their fort from Adam, who kept trying to get in. Not long after, the two considered themselves out and watched from the sidelines with grins on their faces as they shouted ship names for their teams. Tim chanting for his roommates, and Adam changing for two dinosaur friends as they all laughed,

After two hours of being attacked by airplanes, Max getting hit in the eye (And Ross being really caring about it, which got Red to tease him about it), Barney making no sense for about five minutes, and Red breaking apart their fort while Ross tried to convince Tim to attack them, the men gave up with Red and Barney winning.

Since they all were tuckered out, they quietly agreed to call it a night (not without joking about Red and Barney yelling happily and acting like really happy twelve year olds) and went their separate ways home, or to their rooms to finally sleep.
