thank you for reading this story! every vote, comment and add to reading lists has made me smile. apologies for making you wait so long for the epilogue, my computer died and i've only just got a working new one (i had to go a week without tumblr. the travesty.)

i know the ending was sad and a little ambiguous, but i hope you liked it. feel free to make up your own endings/extra facts, but here's a few that i thought you might like to know:

-dan's real name is james

-they do have a successful relationship this time around

-chris and pj hate dan to begin with because of what he did to phil, but come around to liking him eventually

-dan starts a youtube channel at phil's persuasion and the two of them become quite popular, with 900,000 and 800,000 subscribers respectively.

-phil quits his job at the vegan cafe, after smacking someone with a gluten free wrap and dumping a soy milkshake on his boss' head

-dan still works at the toy museum because he likes it too much to leave. he and phil occasionally do presentations for children there, with chris and pj helping out with storytime

essentially, they are happy.

and i hope you are too.
