VANCOUVER's food scene is quickly evolving with more and more restaurant using the agricultural land and climate to utilize harvesting local and organic food. With being a coast city, seafood is top notch, with many chefs taking advantage coming up with the most unique favours and pairings.

Check out some of my favourite spots to wine and dine and experience the best that Vancouver has to offer!

TORAFUKU | 958 Main Street, Vancouver

Nestled on the border of historic Chinatown, Torafuku provides an experience of simple, yet adventurous interpretations of pan Asian cuisine. The simple, brightly lit space is matched with bright flavours using local ingredients sourced from local farms with a great selection of paired wines, craft beers and cocktail menu.

We indulged in the 'Kickass' fried rice dish that included torched pork belly and an Octo and albacore poke salad with pickled veggies, pine nuts, sesame, tonkatsu sauce AND torched miso mayo. (pictured) Amazing!

I ordered the shogun cocktail which was a refreshing mix of Absolut Vodka, Green tea syrup, Yuzu, Kaffir lime, Basil, Smoked pear bitters and Sparkling wine. I'd definitely come back!
