~ Sakura's POV ~

"I can't get what you're saying".

I woke up to the voices of my parents fighting.
It was always like this, they have a scream fest. They shout on top of their lungs, saying inappropriate things that you should never hear parents say to each other.
I don't know why they fight. They always cover it up when we're there. They were once so in love. Whatever happened!

I get up from the bed and rushed to Ella's room. She was on the bed and Alex was there, singing to her.

"Morning". I muttered to Alex as she sang.

I sat on the bed and rubbed tiny circles on Ella's palm.

"What time is it?"

"It's just 2 am".

"Ugggh". I groaned.

Ella was crying as she was trying to fall asleep.
Just looking at her sad state was so depressing.
I took her hands and cupped her cheeks with my other hand.

"Just close your eyes, it'll be okay".
I sang for her before she finally fell asleep.

"Macy, thanks", Alex said, her eyes baggy and red from all the lack of sleep.

I walked to my room and noticed that Alex followed.

"Hey. Can I sleep here, tonight?"

"Sure. Why not?"
We both lied down and tried to sleep.

I kept tossing and turning, having night mares.

I stood up and took my school bag, packing my books for tomorrow.

Once I was done, I knelt down and lisened to the noise that kept getting louder.

"I am sorry for marrying you. I'm sorry I'm not a good mother. I'm sorry if the kids will never have a good mother. I'm sorry if they regret me". I heard her yelling through sobs.

Just then, I couldn't take it. I started to cry.
I cried heavy tears.
I couldn't see clear.
I cried and then my eyes landed on the knife on my table.

I made my way to the table and picked up the sharp thing.

As I started to push the object deep into my skin, cutting open wounds on my wrist as my eyes watered more and I released all the tears I have been holding back.

My phone was in front of me, so I dropped the knife and reached for it.
I went straight to my call log and searched for a certain number.
It rang, until I heard a croaky voice on the other side.

"Hello! Sakky?"

"Hey". I managed to say as I began to sob again.

"Are you okay?" She asked with concern in her voice.

"Can I come over?" I asked.

"I'm waiting outside, oh baby". she said with urgency in her voice.

I took my school bag and rushed downstairs.

Once I got in the car, I sped off.

She was outside, in her pajamas. Her messy brown hair tied in a messy bun.

I ran to her and hugged her, the tears started flowing again.
Her arms encircled me and her fingers gently rubbed my back.

"Kim, it's terrible, they fought again". I managed to speak.

She took me to her room and sat me on the bed.
Before she left, she put on the Tv and spoke up.

"I'll be back".
