Not guilty, deserves no punishment. I write on my paper next to Terrance's name. West-no food & locked in room for three days.
"Done?" An African man with a buzz cut asks.
"Yes. Where'd Abbi go?"
"Her and Ozzie took Westin and Terrance to their rooms."
"Right. And you're second-in-command or something... What's your name?"
"Zeke. And no, I'm just collecting the votes."
I scrunch up my face. "How noble."
He rolls his eyes, then walks off. I twirl my wavy blonde hair, glancing a down the hall. They're back!
Abbi stands in the center of the Matrix. "I'm going to read the votes... Thanks, Zeke..."
Terrance sits right next to me. "Who put her in charge, anyways?"
"Herself. Why'd she take you and West out?"
"No clue." He looks at me, grins, and holds out his hand, "Terrance."
"Grace." I return his smile.
"So tell me, Grace, what's your opinion?"
"It's supposed to be a secret." I chirp.
"I won't tell. And I would completely understand if you think I-"
"You're innocent, Westin should sit in his room three days straight. No food."
"Pretty and a good judge of character."
"I like your accent."
His grin broadens. "Thanks. I like yours, too."
"I don't have an accent."
"Trust me, you do."
"What does it sound like?"
"American. Me?"
"German. Very German."
"Westin doesn't sound like he has an accent... don't tell me-"
I giggle. "Sorry."
"Remind me to move to America when we get out of here."
"Alright." Abbi begins, "Votes are in. A lot of different ideas, some people didn't even vote a punishment for one or the other. Terrance, 2 weeks of cleaning the restrooms and showers."
He sticks out his tongue, and I suppress a laugh.
"Westin, you are to remain in your room for a week."
"Yes!" Terrance whispers.
"We'll bring you food and water, of course."
"No." I whisper, making Terrance chuckle softly.
"As for everyone else, we can take a day off from our daily chores."
Abbi walks up to us. "Terrance, the sooner you start-"
"The sooner I finish. Don't I get a day off?"
"No." She leaves, walking over to chat with Zeke.
"Sorry, Grace. Looks like I got to finish my community service."
He walks away towards Chamber 1. I look around for someone to talk to, noticing a girl with short red hair and blue eyes sitting alone.
"Hi."
