Breathless (a Avengers Fanfic)

chapter 4 :,how did you?

I walked up to the door and opened it, I walked through it with my SHEILD in hand and Amber in the other

The two people grading the door looked at me, I looked them dead in the eye and said calmly

'gentleman'

Steve p.o.v

Suddenly both of the men started attacking me

,I quickly placed Amber behind me, then after I had finished placing her down, I spun around and hit the first guard in the face with my shield,

I continued to punch him a few more times and he was out cold.

Just as I went over to deal with the other guy I noticed that he was already knocked out on the ground

, I looked to the side to see the small helpless girl, with a weak smile plastered on her face ,while she was shaking her goodish leg around.

I smiled down to the girl that I have only just met obviously impressed with her.

I picked the girl up off the ground and just as i started to walk ,me and the girl were surrounded by at least 12 HYDRA guards , i slowly placed Amber down so she was balancing on the wall , i then got into a fighting stance and just as they all started coming for me , everything froze ,

all the guards as still as ice , it was as if time had frozen ,yet i was still capable of moving ,i heard i grunt come from next to me and i looked over to my side to see that the girl had purple ,white and blue colors swirling around her ,kinda like Wanda when she uses her powers , then i saw her gasp and i noticed that she was holding my arm ,she then said

  ' hurry up , i cant hold it for long ' i quickly grabbed my shield from were it lay on my back and flung it at the guards taking them all out. Then everything went back and all the guards fell to the ground ,motionless, i turned my head to see that the  colors were no longer surrounding Amber i nodded and her and said a brief 'thank you '

 she nodded to me and with that i picked her up and attached my shield to my back . I was sprinting towards the exit but just then i got an idea , i stopped in my tracks and grabbed out a miniature sticky bomb i then attached it to the wall and put the timer on for 1;30 , 

i then started the timer and i sprinted as fast as i could towards the exit once out of the building i made my way towards the Quinn jet were Nat was awaiting my arrival and as i was about half way to the Quinn jet i heard a gunfire and amber hissed in pain 

i turned towards the rouge shooter pulled out my gun and shot him three times two in the abdomen and once in the temple ,i then looked down at amber to see her clutching her arm with her hand and blood seeping through her fingers i said in my captain america voice 'put pressure on it were nearly at the jet , just stay with me ' she gave me a weak nod in return.

I entered the quin-jet and yelled to Nat to get us back to avengers tower as fast as she could and just as we lifted off the ground amber whispered " why am i seeing little black dots?" and only a few seconds later she went limp.
