“What’s wrong with you?”

“Myles—.”

“Why are you doing this to yourself?”

“Myles I—”

“Taylor tell me!”

“Maybe if you’ll let me talk!”

“Sorry.” He sat down and I sat next to him.

“This was before you came along okay?” He nodded. “Well you know Roc and I were together for a while. We met at a meet and greet and was texting each other ever since. The next day he invited me over to his house to chill with him and the boys and that’s when we hit it off. We fought a lot. The first time we broke up, it was because of me because I couldn’t trust him because of my past. The second time was because he almost raped me.”

“What?!” He said clenching unto the edge of the hot tub.

“Calm down! Anyways, and the third time we broke up it became official.”

“What happened?”

“I broke up with him because he didn’t introduce me to his fans or Keisha or Walter or his momma. I felt like a secret hidden from his world. So yeah, we broke up and I spent the last two months cutting…”

“Because of him?”

“No because of myself! I hurt someone that I loved and I knew I couldn’t get him back. My sister, my mom, and my best friend aren’t talking to me. So I sort of ran away and came here.”

“Why would you come here knowing Roc will be here?”

“I-I don’t know. Maybe thinking I will get him back? I don’t know. I don’t want to go back to Canada though. Not right now. I’m having so much fun with you, Jhene, and Justice and I don’t want it to end. Not right now.” He nodded his head.

“Wow, I just made it really awkward.” I said laughing.

“Naah, it’s okay.” He shifted his body and looked away. “Do you still like him?”

“I-I don’t know. He-He moved on and—”

“Have you?”

“I-I’m not sure yet.”

“Cool.” He said coming out the water and wrapping the towel around him.

“Where you going?” I asked slowly getting up.

“I’m going to my room.”

“Why? I thought you wanted me to be here with you?”

“Me too. Look man I gotta do something. I’ll see you in the morning.”

“Do what?”

“Sleep.” He said and walked away leaving me there in the hot tub alone. What did I do?

And he just walked off leaving you there?” Justice asked. I nodded. After my conversation with Myles, I changed and went into the girls’ room.

“Taylor, he left because he likes you.” Jhene said.

“No shit. I know he likes me.” Jhene and Justice glanced at each other and looked back at me.

“Do you like him?” I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

“I still think there’s a chance between me and Roc.” Jhene rolled her eyes.

“Come on Tay! Sorry to break it to you honey but he moved on. He got a girl now. You broke up with him and he accepted it and moved on. He gotta next bitch to fuck with and you need to do the same and find you a man. Myles like you a lot. Everyone can tell that you both like each other.” Pissed at what she said, I got up and left the room. She didn’t have to say it like that! She knows how I feel about him so she knows I can’t drop my feelings for him just like that!

I got in my room and slammed the door.

“Hey!” Melody yelled.

I didn’t care. I ran into the bathroom and took out my razor. I eyed my reflection in the blade. Why did I come here? This escape was supposed to be fun, but instead I’m messing things up again. I’m always screwing things up. Why am I even living?
