13 Years Later...
Lydia's POV:
The moment I wake up, I check the time on my clock, 03:24, great. Yesterday we arrived back from Egypt, and I am still really jet-lagged. Egypt was really fun, my my heart sinks as I remember the summer holidays are drawing to a close. Once again everyone would be returning to Hogwarts, and once again I would be staying here. I have never been allowed to attend Hogwarts, because of the fact I am a werewolf. I am always told 'When your older' by Dumbledore, who comes and visits me once a fortnight, but I always miss out on all the excitement. It was even worse last year, when Ginny started Hogwarts to. I have always known that I am different, its obvious even if you didn't know. I have light blonde hair, while all of the other Weasley's have shocking red hair. All I know, is as a baby, my parents were killed by Voldemort, and I was found with Harry in the ruins. Most people don't really know about me, but thats the way I like it. I don't really mind being a werewolf, I mean, it gets annoying at times, but it is just once a month. It is the consequences that I don't like. Like the fact that I can't go to Hogwarts, and the fact that people treat me differently. The only people that know about my 'condition' is the Weasley's, most of the Hogwarts teachers, and Harry Potter. Me and Harry are good friends, and have known each other for ages, but I barely ever get to see him. Again, I look over at the clock 03:26. Wow, time goes so slowly sometimes. I begin to tiptoe downstairs, and when I do, I am surprised to see that Mum (yes, I call Molly mum), Dad, and Dumbledore are talking. Obviously about me, by the way that they stop talking when I enter the room.
"Oh, Lydia, good morning!" Dumbledore says in his usual bright manner.
"Hello Dumbledore," I say, trying to sound cheerful.
"As you know, the others will be returning to Hogwarts soon..." He starts. Great, he's going to say I have to stay. "... and I'm pleased to inform you that this year you will be going with them," He says smiling. I don't know what to say, so I just give him a hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" I squeal. After all these years, I am finally allowed to go!
"Of course, your condition will have to stay a secret, and you will be taking your wolfsbane potion with you, but your condition should be manageable. The Weasley's and Harry will look after you," He says. I'm used to people looking after me. All of the Weasley's are protective of me, but I'm not sure why. I turn into a wolf once a month!
"You obviously will still need to go to the shrieking shack as a wolf, but you can bring a friend as you will be safe. Oh, something else, you will have to be sorted with the first years. Well, I should be going now. See you soon!" He smiles, and then apperates away.
"So honey! You will be going to Hogwarts!" Mum smiles.

"... so Dumbledore says I can go!" I finish telling everyone at breakfast. Everyone smiles and says congratulations, but Percy seems worried.
"Dad, what if people find out?" He asks.
"Well you will all have to look after and protect Lydia," Dad says, giving everyone a look. I don't even care. Hogwarts, here I come!
