For all his life, Harry Edward Styles had been a compassionate lad. He was empathetic and sympathetic and ready to prepare a hot beverage when needed. His chest was always open to hug someone in need and he was ready to fight anyone who hurt someone who couldn't defend themselves to the death. Harry's heart was huge and full of love, and he didn't discriminate.
Which leads to now and his desperate search for his pants in this strange apartment. His eyes adjusted in the dark and he frowned at the dim lighting. He had to rely on a damn broken lava lamp. A grunt escaped his lips and he dove onto the floor to grab his pants and slide into them.
His long, greasy hair fell to his shoulders as he grabbed his shirt and pulled it on, not bothering to button it, letting his tattoos greet the world. He pulled his hair up and back and turned to the bed with a sigh. "Thanks for a good one." He grumbled slidding into his shoes and placed a kiss on the ivory skinned, raven haired boy. "I'll see you next week."
For the past two months, Harry and Andy had been hooking up. Casual sex. Nothing more nothing less. Okay, maybe that was the lie they each told each other. Andy was a key. A brilliant key that he had come across and the lock was oh so close.
Harry shoved his hands in his pockets and whistled as he grabbed his coat from the back of the couch and slid it on, buttoning it up to brace the cold New York wind. It was bitter and it had been four years to the day he had been dropped here and the excitement still buzzed through him.
Nick had been right, NYC was perfect during the holidays. New Years was the best time, one night full of fun, tipsy, loving. Harry thought it should be a recongized for all the babies that came from it, but that didn't matter.
He struck a joint and let it dangle from his lips as he headed back to his apartment with Jaime. Opening the door he found Jaime sitting at their shitty little table nursing a hangover with a cup of coffee. "Fun night?"
Harry flashed a smile, not his charming Cheshire grin, but a smile nonetheless. "Eh, he's too bony sometimes. His hips just cut me." He smirked trying to block out the image of Andy going down on him. "You?"
Jaime shook his head and took another sip. "Nope. Stayed in."
Harry knew, there was no real point in asking. He knew everything that Jaime had been doing for the past two weeks. "You need to get out there man, Mikey just isn't going to come to you." He scoffed thinking of the younger lad.
Jaime rolled his eyes and handed him a cup of coffee. "Go shower. You smell like cheap sex." And you smell like lies, Harry thought.
But Harry twinged a smile and ducked into the bathroom, grinning in his hand. He dropped the contents of his hand in the sink. Quickly he went to work, unlocking Jaime's phone to see what had been going on. Jaime had been shutting him off to the world in London.
Harry's heart began to shake and his heart clenched tightly as he started at the messages between him and Boss.
Katherine Sweeny was engaged. But that wasn't the worst of it. She AND Leo would be here in two days. They would be here for New Years. This was hope for the first time.
