I can't believe this. Sadie is really alive, and staring right at me. I push her on the hospital bed to a classroom and lock the door behind us.
"Sadie..." I breathe. "Did...did you hear me singing?"
"Yeah..." She whispers. It sounds so weird to hear the sound of her voice, but so good at the same time.
"You sounded amazing!" Sadie compliments. I can tell she means it. "When I was unconscious, I... I SAW you singing to me. Then, I just willed myself to wake up...and...well...here I am!"
I feel myself grinning. "Thanks! I don't normally get a lot of compliments from girls..."
"Stop, you're being too modest! You should start your own band or something!" Sadie suggests.
"Well...maybe!" I reply. Who knows?
