Wallys pov
I sit at my desk, trying to finish more assignments. I let out an irritated sigh a second before my phone rings. I pick it up,
"Wall man here." I answer.
"Yo West. Think I can ask for your assistance?" Robin asks
"Yeah sure."
"Meet me at the manor." He says before hanging up.
I sigh before shoving it into my pocket. I head down the stairs, leave my mom a note and run out. I get to Gotham in about 15 minutes, where Alfred already has the door open.
"Hello Master Wallace. Master Dick is in his room."
"Thanks Agent A."
I run up the stairs and enter his room.
"Dude what happened to you? Its only Tuesday." I say
He shrugs,
"Yeah well ya know me."
"I do. Which is why I want to know what happened."
"Fell?"
"How many times have I used that excuse?" I ask.I sit across from him at the desk we pulled away from the wall. Turning on the lamp, I open the first aid kit he had set out.
"I'm assuming Alfred doesn't know since you asked me here. Which also means Bruce doesn't know. So I'm assuming you're trying to handle it yourself. Although if I don't like it, you can bet Roy won't either." I say
"Yeah I know. I can handle it though, don't worry"
I look up at him then back at what I'm doing. I wrap up his bruised and minor cut up arms, before cleaning his knuckles.
"Anywhere else?" I ask
"Just bruises. Figure we can head to the mountain together since your here." Dick says
I look at my watch,
"Totally forgot about training.... I can't today. Cover for me?" I ask looking back up at him.
"I...guess yeah..." He replies skeptically.
"Thanks."Robins pov
I watch him speed off. 'He really is distracted. Guess I am too though.'
I really hate the image I have to keep up with Richard Grayson. I was in the circus, I could beat all those boys with ease. But no. I get a couple punches in and get my butt wouped. Yay me. Still not doing their damn homework.Artemis pov
Stupid prissy rich girls. I can't even call them princesses, its an insult to the real things. From what Wally told us about the Queen that needed the heart, their alright. Not these girls, they act all high and mighty, but are nothing more than stuck up wousses.
Avoiding everyone is so much work. I avoid Dick because I feel so weak at school. I avoid everyone else because I don't trust them.I shake my head as I enter the Mountain for training.
"Hey Artemis." Robin says as I enter.
"Hey. Wheres Wally?" I ask
"Awe. Are you worried?" Robin mocks
"Shut up. You Know Being worried about baywatch is something we all do now days." I retort
"True. Hes probably just as worried about us though. Speaking of worry." He steps closer, lowering his voice, "haven't seen you at school very often. No ones messing with you right?" He asks
"I could ask you the same thing. Whats with the bandages?"
"Touché."
......Wenesday. 3rd person
Another day. No one wants to get up. No one wants to face the day.
Artemis' mother forces Her from bed, gives her a quick breakfast, and sends her on her way.
Richard is brought from his room by the tempting smell of waffles. He eats slowly in the hopes of delaying the day.
Wally hurries from his empty house, grabbing an energy bar and trying to ignore life.Richard is cornered before first block. In an abandoned hallway where his harrassers grin mischievously at him.
"Decide to do our homework yet?" One asks
'Not likely.'
"Don't ignore us!" Another says.
He sends a punch at Dicks face, who blocks on instinct.
"Putting up a fight now too?? Get ready for a visit to the locker circus freak."Dick is unable to fight back against the group of boys as they shove him into a nearby locker.
Artemis is surrounded in the girls bathroom. Shes shoved to the floor and gets water dumped over her head. While shes temporarily blinded a kick is sent to her abdomen. She lets out a grunt as the girls laugh, the bell rings and they scurry off.
Artemis stands, grabbing paper towels in an attempt to dry herself off.The hallway right next to the bathroom goes unnoticed as the prissies walk by bragging and shooting insults at the blonde archer. Richard hears all their snide remarks on his friend and growls. When he hears another set of footsteps he slaps the door to the locker.
The steps proceed down the hall and stop in front of the locker. Looking through the slits in the metal, he sees a damp school uniform,
"Artemis?" Richard asks
"Dick?? Why the heck are you in a locker??" The archer asks as she prys the door open.
"How'd you do that??" He asks
She shrugs,
"You learn how to get out of Tight spaces. Now who put you in a locker? The same people who caused your injuries I assume??" Artemis accuses.
"Yeah. Similar to what happened to you. They didn't break any ribs right? I'm assuming they wouldn't ruin their shoes just to hurt you that bad." Richard says
Artemis chuckles,
"been through a lot worse. Don't tell me the guys beating you up are the boyfriends of the girls harassing me."
"Probably are. 'Ruling' the school and all."
Arty rolls her eyes,
"Are all rich kids like this?" She asks
"Nope. Just the ones that have to prove something. Although not many are brave. The only ones I trust are you and babs."
"figures. Wanna ditch? I could use a break to blow off some steam."
"Bats ain't gonna like it."
"He'll have to deal with it. We'll make up an excuse later."
They both share a laugh, glad to forget their worries for the time being. They would deal with it later.A/N
