It's been 8 years since the first time that our paths crossed. That our eyes met and minds became curious. It was the first day of my high school life.Another time to have wholesome expectations on the new faces that I was about to meet and greet. But it wasn't a really good opening to a new journey.Suffering neck pain gave me a hard time to mingle on the first day.But despite of that fact, one fellow youngster took my attention.

She looked at me with grace and a smile was marked on her face.Hilarously,I answered to her with a suspecting look. She turned her back on me but in a nice manner.I was not certain about what I felt that time.I asked to myself,"Is this the right time to open my heart and fall in love?".A moment of silence filled my mind.

When all of us were already settled down on our respective armchairs, our teacher started to talk and gave us time to introduce ourselves. Some of them were my old classmates, some were my schoolmates then.I was the last student that should give an introduction that's why I became nervous.Do you think it felt so cool?It was so awkward to know that everyone already knew their mates while they still never knew me.My heart trembled eventhough the 1st row were still the ones who were introducing theirselves while I was sitting on the last row,the 10th row.

The young lady was seated at the 2nd chair of the 7th row that's why we're just near from each other.Until it was her time to talk. She stood with poise and uttered her name."Jenie Melisse Hickson",a name that tickled my ears. She's from St.Therese Elementary School and decided to study high school here in Lakewood National High School because of its proximity to their house which is located at Crimson Village. She didn't talked for long but with how she uttered,I felt like on cloud nine listening to hear soft and warm voice.

When it was already my turn,I stood up,held my pen,and said,"Good morning my fellow freshmen.I am Troy Hamilton.I'm a former graduate of Melbourne Elementary School.14 years of age and lives life normally."After that talk,I took a seat and without notice,I smiled at her while she was looking around our spacious but tight room.Because it's a public school, you can expect numbers of students and with me having 53 classmates, sounds like fun...

The next day,the pain in my neck got even worser.I was rushed into the hospital and stayed there for 2 weeks because of cellulitis.Underwent a teraphy session and some test. When I was discharged,I felt excited but at the same time, nervoused. How am I going to be able to approach my classmates in a way that I could make them feel that I was there in those unattended weeks? How can I know Jenie better and deeper?

2nd day of high school was another day of stupidity.Everybody had their eyes staring at me being shocked for they never knew that a student named Troy was one of their classmates.Eventhough I was unfamiliar to them,I was able to participate in my class and made my presence felt.In my specialization area,I took Creative Writing as my major. It was just because I was taken by my friends' flow. However,I found it amusing because in the first day,I was able to impress my teacher,Mrs.Amelia Thompson.

I became the Sports Writer of our school's English publishing team for 4 consecutive years because of Mrs.Thompson.She was my coach,my mother, and my friend.

Well let's go back on knowing Jenie.Fortunately, she was also a writer that's why I was able to know her more. She's intelligent, talented, gifted, and kind. But the problem was,she never gave attention to everyone who adored her.

If I'm not to be wrong,3 weeks past by before I had a clear talk with her.She was walking towards the gate of our school and lucky I was,at that exact time,I was sitting nonchalantly on a bench beside the school's exit way.As she was ambling closer and closer despite of her heavy-loaded backpack,I felt like I'm loosing my composure.I rattled on thinking about what should I do and what should I say.
