I was sitting right at the bench outside our classroom, beside me was Jenie's Father and we were facing the fields that time.I held my breath at the exact moment her Father started to say things that were bit suspicious. Her Father's name is Mr.Samuel Hickson. He's a good-looking tall man with a very heavenly accent that made me realize that Jenie was more alike with her Father. And also,I concluded that Jenie came from a race that are very ravishing(considering that her Father is the most pleasant man I've ever met).

He's an engineer that moves from place to place just wherever he's destined.Because of that,he rarely sees his daughter's worth-to-stare face. However,he always looks to it that he gives enough attention to Jenie.

Well her Dad is the very opposite of my Dad.Kind of a workaholic person and I can say that he already made his office as his home.

Her Father seemed to be a very intense person but then,he was a person whom you can deal with easily.Mr.Hickson's words made me a bit bemused and forced me to ask him formally.

"With all due respect Mr.Hickson, why are you telling all of this to me?",I asked merely.

"I'll go straight to the point.Do you like my daughter?",he asked with a lowered intonation.

"I'm still too young sir,WE ARE rather. But I'm willing to wait for her Mr.Hickson."

Mr.Hickson looked at me with a little uncertain look painted in his face."Oh boy..I think it's time for you to look for another girl or I should say, focus more on your studies. My family will be migrating to Canada after Jenie finishes 7th Grade. We have relatives there and my boss wants me to handle one of our offices located at Canada."

"I can wait Mr.Hickson for your family's comeback.",I instantly replied with a tone of confidence.

"I suggest for you not to.",he retorted.

"It will be years before we're going to come back.",he added."I am with you in terms for my daughter. You have the attitude of an ideal man but it's really not going to work for the two of you.It seems that destiny is not on your side. But I want to ask you a favor."

My eyes widened upon hearing those statements.I felt like I was a child that became astray because I was looking for the missing piece in my life that will never be found anymore.I can't help but to feel heavy and tears dropped from my eyes out of the blue. But,I was able to gain a moment of epiphany when her Father continued to speak.

"Did you know that Jenie is not that kind of girl? The happy, energetic and enthusiastic type of person were not the qualities that Jenie possessed then.Introvert, diffident, and a silent type of person, that was Jenie then. But since the past months that she's with you,she became a very noble, blissful, and a full of life person. The Jenie then is already obsolete because of you.And because of that, please carry on making my daughter a better one.I want you to consume the time that is left for you with her.Is that okay for you?"

"Sir..I would rather live a life of shame than continuously living whilst knowing that I wasn't able to make an important person happy.",I responded.

Mr.Hickson looked at me with a don't-mess-with-me look and smiled at me with a bit sigh."You're one of the boys that all girls are dreaming about. But don't you dare say a word about this to my daughter,is that clear?",Mr.Hickson said with a bit emphasis in his words.

I raised my right hand to shoulder level sending a message of being trustworthy and locked down a man to man's promise.Moments later,he stood up,straightened his back, and edged our conversation leaving me with a pat on my back.

Darkness filled the corner of my eyes when I refreshed my mind about what her Father told me.My whole body was in a super lethargic state.Shoulders felt so heavy,my back felt like I'm carrying all the burden everyone was experiencing. But my heart was still enlightened by the promise I made to her dad,to make Jenie happy. On that time, the thing that was only in my mind was,"Live everyday with her as if everyday is my final day of seeing her."
