Free Fall

In this sky high place
With the night draft whipping past me- Cold but soothing, I start to wonder

Will it hurt me to fall?

If falling is like riding a roller coaster-
People smiling and laughing
Amidst all the screams and shouts,
Will I be able to smile after?

If I am skydiving where
one brave moment
over all the fears and hesitations
And I'm free falling,
Will I be enjoying the rush of adrenaline?

If I am bungee jumping and one jump
Would not mean I'm ending things,
Nevertheless waiting-
for the rope to pull me back
Will I be pulled back too,
When I fall?

How ideal would it be
If all the answer would be yes,
Because in this harsh reality falling is often-
A one-sided love story

And I ask myself again,
Will it hurt me to fall?
