Dear Riles,

If we didn't get into the car that night, we would have been alright. YOU would have been alright. YOU wouldn't be in the hospital in bed with a lot of IVs in your arms. With that thing on your nose, with a cast on your leg.

I remember that night so well, we decided to go to the mall, because you're in need of new clothes. To get your mind off of Farkle and Smackle.

I know, it's hard to see your crush with someone. I been there.

anyway, after shopping, we went somewhere else, a small cafe. It was our little secret. Then we decided it's time to go home. Because you were worried that your parents would be disappointed in you for not coming on time for your curfew, and it was 9:10pm, and your curfew was at 9:30pm.

You were in a hurry to go home, so your parents won't ground you.

So, you rushed the taxi guy to speed up, but unfortunately we didn't make it to our destination, instead we crashed.

Two days later I woke up, I asked where you were because I didn't see you anywhere. My mom looked sadly at me. "She's upstairs, on the fifth floor. Sweetie, Riley is on life support." she has told me. Her words have shook me, I tried to get my IV off my arm. I wanted to see you so bad.

They wouldn't let me of course, not until I healed properly.

The taxi guy, and I were okay.

I just have a broken leg, a whole lot of bruises on my face. He had a broken arm.

But you, you Riley Matthews got hurt the most.

Your face was swollen, you was swollen. I remember that night. so well. I never been so scared, Riles. I need you.

Love, Maya.
