Mako's P.O.V.
I was on my lunch break. I had gone back to my police job after being Prince Wu's bodyguard. I haven't seen much of him after Varrick and Zue Li's wedding. Since he wasn't a Prince anymore he had just basically vanished off the radar. Hmm...
I walked into the café my grandmother had built after the destruction of Republic City.
"Oh hi Mako. Want your usual coffee?" she asked from behind the counter.
"Ya grandma."
"Coming right up."
I sat at the bar waiting for it when a familiar face sat down next to me.
"Mako?" he said.
I turned to him and my face lit up.
"Wu? Is that you?" he was wearing a green t-shirt and yellow sweatpants.
"Yah. It's me."
"I haven't seen you in nearly two years."
"Actually I just got back from helping the Earth kingdom transform to a democracy yesterday."
"Wow. It's just been so long."
"I know."
"How you holding up with not being a Prince anymore."
"Actually, for once I don't care about being royal."
"Here's your coffee sweetie." my grandmother said as she handed me a to go cup.
"Thanks. Well, I'll see you around,Wu. But I have to go back to work. If I'm late, Lin's not going to be very happy." I said. Wu nodded.
"Yah see Ya around."
So I took my coffee and went back to my office.
---It was nine o'clock when I left work that evening.
Me and my family were still living at Asami's place. I walked in and went towards my room. On the way I heard voices coming from my grandmother's room. Being curious I put my ear up against the door and listened.
"You're always welcome here child."
"And I had one more thing I wanted to discuss." wait. Was that Wu's voice!
"Sure. What?"
He gulped. "Mako."
"What about him?"
"I think I like like him but I'm not sure he even cares if I'm there."
"He cares, Wu."
"Yah." Before I could react, Wu opened the door.
"Mako!"
"Hi..."
"H-how much d-did you hear?"
"Enough."
That was when I smashed my lips against his. He was tense at first but he soon relaxed a bit. I opened my eyes to see him with his eyes closed and a slight blush on his cheeks.
He was so cute.
His arms were behind my neck as our lips moved in sinc. When the kiss was finally broken we were still only less than an inch apart and our noses touched.
"Still think I don't care if you're here or not?
"Oh you heard that...sorry." He smirked. "That was my first kiss."
"Really?"
"Yah." his blush got darker.
I chuckled. "You're adorable."
"I know." he leaned in and kissed me passionately.
I kissed him back.
