Unlocking my very own nightmare

Chapter 2

It all started 2 months before my sweet 16 me being me was all cheerful counting the days to what others would call the happiest moment of their life but for me I was counting down the days I have left of freedom.(Did I tell you that my mom said something life changing would happen so I'm a very dramatic person if you didn't see that anyways back to the story)
I woke up groggily from my bed cursing myself for forgetting to close the shutters last night I quickly jumped into the shower to wake myself up and put on the clothes I had laid out earlier.

As I walked out my mom stopped me I thought she had found out about my stunt on the principal earlier this week so I braced myself for the scolding that was yet to come. When I looked at her face it was much more grave and serious than a typical grounding and when she told me to sit down I was horrified because she only does this before a huge life changing choice like last years move from California.I really don't want to move right when everything is going so well."Cassandra honey I want you to listen to me all the way to the end no interruptions or any of your shananagans." my mom told me shakily. Right before my mom could stop me I cried out"Woah mom your scaring me please tell me what's going on!" Before she said any of that I thought maybe a family member died or we had to move again or something.But no I would take any of those a million times over what I just heard come out of my mothers mouth.I spaced out a bit before asking her what she said she repeated it with a shaky breath "Cass you are part of a curse"
"I'm part of a WHAT!!!!!"
"Sweetheart calm down we'll help you through it it may sound bad but what I'm about to tell is wayyy worse than what your screaming about now I know it's a lot for a 15 year old,and this is a lot to take in for your age, but if we take it one step at a time we can get through this together" mom told me as I just rolled my eyes at the speech all moms memorize once their son/daughter reach their teens.
Me:Ok could you tell me the entire story then?

After a long two hours and shocked screams later....

Ugh!!! Adding on to the fact that I'm now being told about my "destiny" I am now late for my first day of school!!!

As I ran into school the warning bell rang just my luck I sarcastically thought to myself as I ran up to my lockers to quickly take my first period things and start this horrendous day.
But look on the bright side at least you can make everybody believe you arrived "fashionably late" my mind reminded as I sprinted through the hallways just slow down and stroll through to act as if I meant for this to happen oh the things I do for social reputation
