I woke up sticky and sweaty in Damon's arms. We were both covered up with my thick pink and white comforter my parents bought for me for the last birthday I had while they were alive.

I had fallen asleep in my blue jeans and long sleeve purple shirt I had worn the day before. I wanted to get up and shower but I never want to leave Damon's arms. I feel so safe when I'm with him. I was so comfortable. I tried to reach over him slowly to grab my phone and check the time without waking him. The sun wasn't risen yet so it had to be super early. I was about to grab my phone when it started ringing at an obnoxious level.

"What time is it?" Damon mumbled quietly, while trying to stretch with Elena still laying on him.

"I'm not sure. Can you hand me my phone?" She asks while sitting up.

"Anything for you, beautiful." He sits up and kisses her and then grabs her phone.

"Well somebody knows how to be a suck up." She winks at him and smiles, and then answers the phone call.

"Hello?" She sounds annoyed.

"Elena. It's Caroline. Have you seen Stefan?" Elena can hear the worry in her voice.

"I haven't seen him since yesterday. Why?"

"I tried to call him this morning and he wasn't answering so I drove over to the Salvatore mansion and he isn't here and...." She pauses sounding somewhat scared.

"And what, Caroline?!" She yells through the phone.

"The entire downstairs freezer is empty. The bloodbags are gone." She's practically whispering.

"I'm getting up now. Ill call you in a few and you let me know if you hear from him." She hangs up the phone and jumps out of bed.

"Okay, listen. Both of you need to just calm down." Damon says as he puts the shirt on that he was wearing yesterday.

"Ca- you want me to CALM DOWN? Stefan is out running loose, high on human blood and you want us to be 'calm'?! She yells at him, clearly aggravated at his response.

"Listen Elena, I know you're worried but human blood is good for Stefan. He needs to drink it so he can learn to control it. I've seen him go through this before. He's spent over 100 years trying to deny what he is so he's been on the bunny diet. Maybe this is his breakthrough. Stefan is more fun when he's on human blood anyways." He sits back down on the bed and shrugs his shoulders.

"You can be such a jerk sometimes!" She pushes him on the bed and then walks out of the room to go downstairs and get some breakfast.

"You know you love me!" He calls behind her.

"I do!" She smiles and continues walking down the stairs.
