2. The New Girl

Hak P.O.V

  Today is the start of my last school year. I heard someone banging on my door, I barely opened my eyes when I felt someone jump on me. It was my little brother Tae-Yeon. ''You're going to be late for school!'' He said placing a sandwitch on my bedside table.

  I grab some random clothes from the closet. I quickly eat the sandwitch my brother left me and leave my room. In the living room I see Mundok yelling at Tae-Woo for some reason. ''Why the fuck are you in our house again, old man?'' I say irritated. ''I told you to call me grandpa! I came to make sure you go to school.'' He answered with a stare that could kill.

  Since Mundok is a math teacher we leave together for school. We go into his car and head off. We reach school by 7.50 am. 

  The first day is quite chill since we don't have any actual classes. Our first two classes are homeroom and during the 3rd lesson is the opening ceremony. I go to class and see my friends except for Kija who is once again late.

    At 8.08 am Kija enters the classroom. He looks agitated. When asked what's wrong he didn't answer. 

  10 minutes into the class, a knock is heard and a red haired girl walks in. She is a beautiful girl, never seen anyone like her. I could tell that she has been through some shit. 

  The teacher asked her if she got lost. At that moment I heard Kija say to himself, ''More than lost...''. I look at him with a confused look. 

  She sits in front of me. A gust of wind from the open window made her hair wave and I got a whiff of her lovely perfume. 

  Suddenly she asks us ask a question that I couldn't hear. ''Why you ask, my darling?'' Jae-ha answers the same way he answers every other girl. ''Do you want to participate? Do you need models?'' He flips his hair and smiles. The girl smiled akwardly and said, ''N-No, I'm just curious.'' Jae-ha pouts and says, ''Oh, how sad, I was hoping to go this year.''

  The lesson ends and the 10 minute break is as meaningless and boring as always.The redhead doesn't talk to anyone.

  When the lesson starts, she gets asked to talk about herself. I find out that her name is Yona and she is 18 and moved here because of some things, which sounded odd. She sits back down and the lesson goes by quickly.

  After the class we start going downstairs to the opening ceremony. Halfway down the corridor Yona suddenly stops. As I get closer she suddenly starts falling down. I do a few quick steps and catch her before she hits the ground.

  I take her to the school nurse and my friends follow us. I put her down on the bed and the nurse tells us she will take care of her and that we should head to the opening ceremony.

  All through the opening ceremony I wonder about her. The headmaster Soo-Won starts making a speech. Me and the gang never liked him but for some reason everyone else does. He seems very ominous.

  When the ceremony is over I tell Zeno to inform the other that I'll meet up with them later. I hurry up the stairs taking two steps at a time. Soon enough I'm in front of the nurses office and knocking on the door.

  I enter and see that Yona is all by herself. ''Where is the nurse?'' I ask her. ''She went to bring me juice.'' She answers and I look at her confused. ''I fainted because I didn't eat my breakfast.'' She smiles faintly. ''Tae-Yeon would kill you for that.'' I mumble. ''W-Who?'' Yona looks at me with a puzzled face. ''Ah, never mind, forget what I said.'' I told her.

  ''Anyways, where's my thanks?'' I ask with a smirk. '' Oh, you helped me? The nurse did tell me that a black haired guy brought me here. Thank you so much!'' She smiles at me kindly. I feel myself blushing a little. ''No problem.'' I bring my hand to my mouth to do fake cough.

  ''Um...Does a guy named Soo-Won go here?'' She asks me. ''The fuck? He's the headmaster...'' I look at her like she's grown two heads. ''What?! I have only talked to the head teacher Linda. That's why I didn't know.'' She explains but looks very nervous. ''Why you ask?'' I question her. She answers in a rushed way, ''No reason.''

  We say our good byes and I leave as the nurse enters. I meet up with others at the front of the school. We hang out for a little bit and then I head home.

  When I'm in bed I can't stop thinking about the new girl. I grin to myself, maybe this school year will actually be interesting.
