Lillian

     "Hey watch it!"

I looked up and stared into a pair of angry green eyes. Aaron stood in front of me, his fists curled up in ball.

"S-sorry." I murmured, pushing myself off the ground. I brushed the tiny rocks off my hands and leggings, catching quick glances of Aaron.

He sighed heavily. "Sorry for barking at you. I'm just, not really having a great day."

"It's fine." I shook my head. "I understand."

He stared at me as he clenched his jaw, and based on his facial expression, he seemed deep in thought. He shook his head abruptly before walking alway.

"Lillian? I thought you were leaving." I heard Nicole say. I glanced over to see her and Chad approaching me.

"Uh yeah, I was." I answered with a soft laugh. "I just sort of ran into Aaron.. Literally."

Chad smirked. "Lillian looks lovestruck."

I rolled my eyes with a grin. "Yeah, sure. I would never fall for anyone like that."

"You wanna bet on it?"

"Pft. I don't have time for you and your stupid bets. I can't bel-"

"I bet you can't make him fall for you." Chad cut me off.

Nicole rolled her eyes. "Have you seen Lil's social skills? They're not pretty."

"Hey!" I barked softly, furrowing my eyebrows. "I have good social skills. I just never use them."

"Mhmm.." Chad hummed with a challenging smirk.

"You know what Chad? Its on." I growled. "Aaron will fall for me by the end of the year. And I will NOT fall for him. Guaranteed."

"How can you be so sure?" Nicole asked. "I mean, Aaron is pretty hot."

Chad glared at Nicole as a sly grin made it to her face. She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, and he rolled his eyes.

"I just am, okay?" I answered shakily. "Y-you just wait. Aaron Foster will be on his knees, begging for me in no time."

"Whoa. Where has this Lillian been my whole life?" Nicole teased.

I chewed on my bottom lip to save myself from screaming in frustration. How the hell was I suppose to get Aaron to fall for me?

I slammed my textbook shut and glanced at the time. It was only 5:47. My mind returned to Aaron, and how I was suppose to successfully win the bet I had made with Chad. It was almost impossible. How was I suppose to do it? I suddenly remembered how he was throwing a party tonight.

I snatched my phone off my bed and quickly dialled Nicole's number. I knew it by heart. "Hello?" I said once she picked up.

"Hey, what's up Lil?" She replied. I didn't hear any background music or people, so I assumed she hadn't gone to the party yet.

"Hey, umm.. When's that party?"

I could hear the smile on her face. "7:00. You want me to come and help you pick an outfit?"

"Yes, please." I sighed in relief. "You basically read my mind."

"Is this like a head start at winning the bet between you and Chad?"

"Possibly." I replied slowly.

I heard her laugh quietly before replying. "I'll be there in 10 minutes."
