Tyler's/Wildcat's POV
I roamed around Los Santos in search for something to do. What time am I planning to go back to the woods to meet my little fox friend? Eh, I'll leave in about an hour. I'm sure it won't mind me being a little late. I stuffed my hands in my hoodie pocket and let out a long, deep sigh. I moved here to maybe get a glimpse of the famous NightOwl and Batcoon, but so far I haven't seen shit. I've heard Of them appearing on the news, but I've never got the chance to actually see them.
As I was walked along the sidewalk I felt someone tug on the back of my hood. I turned only to see the two fuck faces that were after that Craig guy. My eyes widened as an evil snicker crept on both of their faces. Without thinking, I bolted. I ran as fast as I could in hopes of losing them, but luck wasn't in my favor. I felt something grab my arm and yank me back. The streets were empty because everyone was either at work or at home which did not help my case.
I felt them grab my other arm as the pulled me into an alley way. "Get the fuck off me!" I demanded, kicking and squirming in their grasp. "Scan him." One of them ordered. The other nodded and pulled out a strange object. What the hell is that? The man with the weird contraption pressed the object against my forehead. It made a loud buzz sound.
"He's clean, but he knows our faces. He could get us arrested." The one with the object stated. "So what do you think we should do with him?" The one that hade pinned to the dirty wall asked. "Kill him." The man smiled. What?! My blood ran cold. How the hell am I supposed to get myself out of this?! I've managed to get myself into some really deep shit...
The one that had the strange object replaced the unfamiliar mechanism with a familiar one. A gun... He pressed the end of it to my head. I clenched my eyes shut, thinking of all the things that led up to this particular moment. I prepared for the worst until I heard a squeal. I opened my eyes to see the two men laying on the ground with pained faces. "The fuck?" I questioned.
I was about to run, but a dark figure jumped in front of me. My breath hitched as I fell to the ground. I looked up to see non other than Batcoon. Speak of the devil. I quickly regain myself and stood up. Wait, Batcoon's here... So where's NightOwl? I heard a loud 'thud' sound from behind me. I turned to come face to fa- uh, well, mask with NightOwl. NightOwl bent over and took the gadget from one of the men. He examined it closely.
"You aren't a Hybrid? Why were they after you?" NightOwl questioned while showing me what he was looking at. It's a scanner type thing... "A Hybrid? I've heard of Hunters, but not Hybrids..." I stated, then it hit me. "Im Craig, and those guys... We call them Hunters." "You'll find out later on, trust me." "Hybrids and Hunters have been at war for centuries. None of us know why we fight, we just do it. Recently, Hunters have gotten the upper hand on us, they've put most of us in hiding with their new technology. They only target Hybrids, so I don't know why they were after you." Batcoon explained.
Does that mean Craig is a Hybrid?! What the hell is a Hybrid anyways? "S-So, what exactly is a Hybrid?" I asked. The dynamic duo exchanged looks. "Hybrids are part human part animal. Me and Batcoon are the only Hybrids that aren't afraid of the Hunters. We're also the only living Hybrids." NightOwl explained. "I wouldn't be too sure about that." I stated. I need to find Craig! They both looked at me with confusion. "Follow me." I said while running off into the direction of the forest.
Time Skip to the Woods
NightOwl and Batcoon followed me through the woods. Please be here! "Craig!" I called. "Craig, are you here?!" I yelled.
We continued searching for a few hours until I decided to take a break. Batcoon and NightOwl weren't fazed by the amount of running, but I was exhausted. "Let's take a break... I want to introduce you two to someone. It might not be Craig, but I'm sure you'll like em'." I stated. We walked to my tree where I left the little fox.
When we arrived, I immediately saw my fox friend sitting next to the tree. It turned to look at me, but growled when it saw Batcoon and NightOwl. I walked over to the fox and pet it. "They're with me, don't worry." I soothed. Batcoon and NightOwl cautiously walked over to us. "How come it isn't clawing our eyes out right now?" Batcoon questioned. I chuckled. "I honestly don't know... It's a lot smarter than most animals, so maybe that affects it's feelings towards people." I said.
"Hold on a sec- I think I might know why this fox is smarter than most." NightOwl said as he pulled out the scanner. Once it was in sight, the fox immediately flipped out. It started growling, hissing, and scratching in hopes of scaring the two hero's away. NightOwl pressed it against it's forehead. It began beeping like a fire alarm. "Just as I thought," NightOwl stated, "your little fox friend is a Hybrid." My eyes widened. So it's actually a person?!
I looked up at NightOwl and Batcoon, but was greeted by a raccoon and an owl instead. What the hell is going on here?! The fox turned it's head to look at me, before looking over at the two other animals. The raccoon and owl changed into Batcoon and NightOwl. "Your turn." Batcoon stated.
Before I knew it, the small fox changed into a familiar figure. "Craig?!" I exclaimed in shock. "See, I knew you'd find out sooner or later." Craig giggled.
Bam! Long ass chapter! Hahaha! Thank Puerto_Ricochet for telling me to put the chapters into paragraphs! I'm going to try to remember to put all of my future chapter in paragraphs and when I finish the book I'm going to go back to the first two chapters and put them in paragraphs.
